Ready Set Joe

Every morning I make my coffee in a Melitta Ready Set Joe Single Cup Coffee Brewer. It is the simplest way to make coffee, with no chance of getting it wrong.

It seems like about once a week I see on Facebook that someone's coffee maker has stopped working. My coffee maker will never break or quit working!

I love the Ready Set Joe! It makes the best coffee I have ever tasted! This little gadget has changed my morning routine and made my coffee ritual one of the favorite parts of my day.

After the jump I will give you my review of this Melitta single cup coffee brewer. I'll tell you why I love it so much, and there are many reasons. I give you the drawbacks, as I see them.

Here it is! This is the crazy simple coffee maker I just love! Works great!

I was going to make a video demonstrating my method for making a delicious cup of coffee using the Melitta Ready Set Joe Single Cup Brewer. Then I realized there was already a video with this demonstration!

This video shows you everything you need to know to make a great cup of coffee. The only thing I would change is that I use a larger size filter.

You can use any ground coffee in your Melitta Ready Set Joe, but this is my favorite so far.

The #2 coffee filters are sized to fit perfectly in a single cup coffee brewer. They work fine. One day I accidently brought home the wrong size filters. I used them out of desperation and discovered to my delight that they worked better than the smaller ones!

I recommend using the #4 coffee filters in your Ready Set Joe. If you have had trouble with the filter slipping and allowing grounds to fall into your cup, the larger filter eliminates this problem. I have never had an issue with the #4 collapsing and making a mess like the smaller filter sometimes does.

I think I would like to try this one. The difference between this coffee maker and the Ready Set Joe is that there is a valve at the bottom to hold the brewing liquid in the cone. You put in a filter, add the coffee and your almost boiling water. Then you let it brew for 3 or 4 minutes.

When ready, open the valve and allow the coffee to drip into your mug. When your cup is full, remove the cone. The valve will automatically stop the flow of coffee.
