Make It Yourself - Strawberry and Banana Smoothie with Honey

Updated on June 5, 2012

Summer is already here, and it’s time for a fresh, juicy smoothie make from home. Have you ever wonder what to do with those fruits in your refrigerator? Don’t you want to finish them asap but at the same time, you are tired of eating them every day? Instead of adding sugar to your diet, don’t you want to find a healthier replacement? The mouthwatering sweetness of strawberries is savory. YUM! The red strawberries are so sweet that most people love to buy ‘em home. Strawberry prevents cardiovascular diseases, certain types of cancer like breast, cervical, colon, and esophageal, improves regulation of blood sugar, and decreases the risk of type 2 diabetes. The nutritious banana is a very good source of vitamin B6, vitamin C, potassium, dietary fiber, and manganese. It protects eye sight and builds better bones. How wonderful? Finally the rich, golden honey is way better than sugar. Honey beautifies our skin, cures children night cough, helps lose weight, and contains rich nutrition.

What you need:

1 Banana

4 to 6 Strawberries (3 servings)

Milk (depends on how much the blender jar could hold)

Steps by Steps:

Cut the banana and the strawberries into smaller pieces. Put them all in the jar, add milk. Blend it. Spill it into the cups, and add 1 to 2 teaspoon of honey. Depends on how sweet you want the smoothie to taste.
