The Lunchbox

A favorite place to eat here in my town is at The Lunchbox. They serve a lot of good healthy food with great prices to boot! The Lunchbox is also combined with the Flambeau River Gift Shop. It is a shared business as you enter; Lunchbox is on the left hand side and the Gift Shop on the right hand side. So while you wait for your food or just grabbing a great iced coffee you can look around at the gift merchandise it has to offer. There are some really neat items plus the food is fantastic! This business is located in beautiful Northern Wisconsin in the town of Ladysmith. So if your in the area stop in for brunch or dinner and don't forget to try the scones. The are delicious!

My latest meal was the California Cheeseburger Wrap Panini. It came with chips or fresh raw veggies and a drink. Of course I chose the raw veggies since I'm trying to choose better healthy food while out and about. I never knew a cheese burger could taste so healthy before. I'll take this wrap panini over a regular cheese burger any day! I love that they offer so many healthy good choices on there menu at this cafe as well homemade desserts.

The Lunchbox offers catering services which is a great feature to their business. I think my next big gig will catered by them right here in Ladysmith, Wisconsin! The cafe also utilizes local area places as part of these business such as getting meat from Maple Hill Farm. They also get bread from the Bohemian Oven in Bloomer, WI. They even get fresh veggies from local growers and the Farmers Market. It's nice that they combine other local businesses with other's nearby. It's a community that works together.

There are many options to choose from on the the menu when you eat at the Lunchbox. The Daily Specials are pretty good to try; always something different each week. You can choose a sandwich, wrap or panini from the menu or build your own from all three of these choices with any toppings you like. There are salads, soups and scones that are great to go with your meal or alone for a simple quick lunch. You gotta try the homemade desserts. So delish and to die for! Enjoy iced coffee or lemonade with your meal.

This looks like a funny cheese burger doesn't it? This is what you call a wrap panini made to taste like a cheese burger. It was so good; much better than a regular cheese burger! I ordered mine with raw veggies instead of chips for a healthier choice for eating out and about! It also came with a drink which I had pink lemonade.

Come on in and sit a spell while your wait for your lunch to be made. Order a refreshing lemonade to wet your whistle!
