Best Propane Grills Under $300: Top 5

Updated on March 25, 2014

Which gas grills should you consider?

If you like to use grills for cooking, you probably know that there’s nothing like a good quality propane grill for a fun cooking time! When it comes to good grills for 300 dollars however, there are not many options to choose from, and most of the grills are not completely flawless either. However, after a good amount of brainstorming into the available options, I’ve selected 5 grills that do a far better job than others. So here are the top 5 propane grills under $300 you can get:

1. Weber Q Series Portable Grill

Well, I know you expected Weber to be in the first place, and yes, you were right! I kind of expected that too before coming up with this final list. There’s something about Weber-manufactured grills that is just so irresistible. It is not simply that the company has a solid reputation as the best grill manufacturer. The fact of the matter is that Weber grills are far ahead of the grills manufactured by other popular brands. This particular model is quite portable, and that is perhaps the number one selling point. Anyway, all things considered, this is the top-rated grill you can buy in this price range, and I totally recommend it whole-heartedly, because the customer reviews are absolutely positive!

2. Dyna-Glo Smart Space Living Propane Gas Grill

I’d have to say that I find it a bit bulky in size, but that’s not a big deal at all. In fact, that’s good because it can cook more food than many other models can. The construction is pretty solid, and this grill is very popular among the grill-loving crowd. As far as customer satisfaction is concerned, there is about 4% of people who are not really that satisfied with the product, but most of the customers find it to be a good deal overall. The value for money is tremendous, and it is best suitable for huge gatherings and parties. I’d say that don’t be put off by some of the negative reviews too soon, instead, read all the reviews patiently, and then only make a smart decision.

3. Char-Broil Classic 4-Burner Gas Grill with Side Burner

The construction of this grill is well thought-out, and it has wheels for convenient portability. The assembly may not be the easiest in the world, but you’ve got to understand that it is not really possible to find grills that are perfect in every single way. It has all the features you can expect from a grill of this price. That is, whatever basic features you need for a good grilling session, it is likely to offer every one of those features. Even-cooking is not at all a problem, and its upper surface is quite a beauty to lay eyes on. As compared to the above two grills, I’d say that it is more of a matter of preference than quality. If you like this grill better than the above two, and it suits your needs, I see no reason why you should avoid going for it. Customer reviews are mostly positive too.

4. Holland Companion Propane Portable Grill

Considering all the propane grills for under 300 dollars, it may not be the most beautiful model out there, but we are not looking for a makeup session here, are we? The thing is, it gets its job done pretty perfectly, and although it is a simple appliance, it is more than enough for most people. Note that there are some 1-star Amazon customer reviews, but I added this to the list despite the negative reviews because none of those reviews are certified reviews. I may be wrong, but I suppose one of its competitors is trying to lower its reputation by using cheap tactics like comment spamming. But again, I may be wrong, although I do not think that’s the case. Other than those negative reviews though, most reviews are very positive and certified too, and that is a big reason to consider this grill very closely.

5. Magma ChefsMate Conniosseur Series Gas Grill

Just because it is placed at the fifth spot doesn’t mean that it is not worthy of your attention. Believe me when I tell you this, it is one of the great propane grills in this price point, and it is not just because of its solid construction and high-quality materials either, because it has much more to offer. It doesn’t require any major assembly, and as far as cooking goes, it has the capability to satisfy most people fully. For most trips and gatherings, this grill will do a commendable job. I wouldn’t go as far to say that it is absolutely the greatest grill on earth, but I think for the price you pay for it, you get enough value for every penny spent.

Now that you’ve familiarized yourself with the top propane gas grills that come under $300, it is time for you to make a good sensible decision. I wish I could pick one grill from this list and say that you must go for that particular one because that’s the best, but grills are not TVs or computers. With gas grills, different people have different preferences and expectations. I‘m sure that at least one of the above grills will satisfy all your needs and wants very well, but the final decision is yours to make.
