Games With Balloons at Your Child's Party

Are you planning a birthday party for your child? It's a great idea to add some balloon games to your entertainment program. Such balloon battles are very funny and energy-consuming. We are going to tell you about some kinds of these games with a detailed description of the rules and necessary equipment.

Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon.

— A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

As a child, I couldn't stand the contest held at that time at all holidays, where the children had to burst as many balloons as possible. At the moment of inviting the participants, I tried to become as less noticeable as possible.

Generally speaking, nothing has changed over the years, so now I’ll tell you about interesting games that do not require to pop anything.

1. "Air Races" Funny Balloon Game For Kids Party

The number of players can vary from 4 to 7 players in every round of the game.

Age of participants is from 7 to 12 years old.

We need a fan or modelling balloon (called "sausage"), chair or table (as gates).

The winner is a kid who will be the quickest while pushing the balloon into the gates with a fan or other long balloon. You can’t touch the balloon with your hands.

2. "Grannies" Old Kind of Pastime For Young Kids

How many players can participate? From 4 to 8 kids from 6 to 14 years old in each round.

You should prepare round balloons of different colours (as many as players), markers, scarves or pieces of the cloth.

Rules of the game: the winner is the one who quickly turns out to tie a scarf to the balloon and draw a muzzle.

3. "Flight" Game For Children With Untied Balloons

The number of players is from 5 to 10 players in each raw.

How old should be the participants? From 5 to 11 years old.

Required props are round or long balloons of different colours (as many as players), filled with air but not tied.

The kids stand in a row with unbound balloons in their hands and on the count of three let them fly. The winner is the one whose balloon will fly farthest.

4. Balloon Football: Exciting Entertainment for a Kids Holiday

From 3 to 6 players 7-14 years old can become the participants in each team.

All you need is durable round balloon, chairs or tables or any other gates.

What's the essence of the game? Everything is as in real football, but instead of the ball - a balloon. The role of the gate can be performed by chairs or tables set opposite each other.

5. "Notes With Wishes" is The Most Romantic Way to Finish Your Holiday

All the guests can play. Age of participants: from 7 to 16 years old.

Things to play: latex balloons, filled with helium (as many as guests), notes, pens or markers.

This game is a great variant to finish the party. We give each person a helium balloon with prepared notes. Each child writes his wishes on the note. Then we launch balloons from the balcony or courtyard into the sky.

Another variant is to write a kid's wish right upon the balloon. In this way, you need just helium balloons with ribbon and markers.

6. Summer Game With Water Bombs For Kids

From 4 to 8 players in each team can play this game.

How old are the participants? From 7 to 13 years old.

We need 2 plastic buckets, many round 5-inched balloons, filled with water.

To play, you need to split into 2 teams. Each team is given a plastic bucket and water bombs. Teams become at some distance from each other. Each team throws bombs at another team, which should place the bucket so that the balloon falls there. If it was not possible to catch the balloon, it is thrown back to the side of the first team. Their task is the same - to catch the balloon. The team that managed to catch more water bombs and not pop them wins.

7. Playing With Balloons For Greedy Pants

The number of players is the same as the number of balloons you can find.

Age of participants varies from 5 to 12 years old.

You should find many balloons of different shapes, colours and sizes, filled with air.

Put many balloons without ribbon on the floor. You need to keep as many balloons on yourself: under the shirt, pin with hairpins, hold the “tail” with your teeth, hold the balloons with your hands and feet. Very funny, by the way. Remember to photograph the winner.

8. "Humpty Dumpty" Dynamic Activity For Children

From 4 to 10 players in each of 2 teams can play this game.

Age of participants is from 7 to 13 years old.

We give each team a tennis racket (or a badminton racket). You need to run 5 meters and return to the beginning of the distance with a balloon on a racket so that it does not fall on the floor.

9. "Flies And Cutlets" Get Rid of Balloon Pests

All the guests from 5 to 10 years old are divided into two equal parts.

We need chalk, many round balloons in several colours.

Again, put lots of balloons on the floor. Divide the balloons and all the guests with a line (draw in chalk) into two equal parts. Assign balloons of some colour to “harmful flies” that you need to get rid of. On command, team members begin to throw flies across the line. The winner is the team in whose part the least harmful insects will be.

10. Musical Balloon Game For Summer Party

You can invite all the guests from 6 to 12 years old to this game.

What is needed? Balloons, filled with water (one less than the number of participants), music player with dynamic songs.

All participants stand in a circle. All the balloons are on the floor inside the circle. The party presenter turns on the music, the participants begin to walk around the balloons. The presenter must suddenly turn off the music. As soon as the music stops, participants need to take a balloon. Who is not succeed in taking the balloon, is eliminated from the game. The presenter removes one balloon. And so on. The last child becomes the winner.

Bottom Line

Most of these games can be held at any holidays at home, in cafes or children's centres and clubs. Games with water bombs should be held outside. Balloons - a fairly simple props for the holiday, which can be found in any store. Be creative! Improve proposed balloon games and contests!
