Updated on June 27, 2014

Why spend over $10 for the toys your baby needs?

I am a father of four wonderful girls. My youngest will be 11 months old in a few weeks. Kids grow up way to fast. I can remember when she was born. It seems just a few days ago. Anyway, I'm getting of track. This lens is about what babies like with regard to toys. These toys are all educational in nature. Learning and development for our youngsters are important, but there is no need to speed a lot of money providing them with to toys they need to grow with. The good news is that nothing on this list is over $10. If you find it over $10, you've spent too much. So come on, and enjoy the count down of the ten best educational toys for babies 6 to 12 months. Here we go.

Stacking and Sorting Toys

The first set of toys on my list are stacking and sorting. My daughter loves to put things in and out of box, buckets, my wife's purse. At my house, we can find toys almost anywhere. So, if your house is like mine, these toys will help your baby stack and sort things where they belong. In there toys.

All my daughters have played with this toy, and some of my fondest memories are watching them trying to stack the little ring in order on the pole. This is a very good toy for babies and young children. If you don't have it already, you should get it.

This is a excellent toy for babies and young children. I recommend that if you don't have this toy yet, you should.

That is how much they loved it. Anyway, even thought I haven't got around to buying a replacement (by the time the third and fourth child come along, you have some many toys that you don't know what to do with them all), I would recommend that this be one of the toys your child plays with. It is a shame my younger daughters can't enjoy this toy. I my just have to replace it anyways.

Texture and Manipulative Toys

Babies love to grab things, anything, and put them in there mouths, or bang them and hit things with them. But most of all, they go in there mouth. These toys will help with the ever so important sensory development of touch and hand eye coordination. Each toy in this section has a different texture for our youngsters to experience. My daughter loves playing with her texture balls. I am betting, so will yours.
