A Brief Introduction to Airsoft

Airsoft is a simulated mock combat and is a competitive team sport in which people shoot each other using airsoft guns. Don’t worry, it’s not dangerous at all. Airsoft guns are the replicas of real guns and shoot projectiles made up of plastic and known as BBs. These BBs are not lethal, however, if one do not wear a proper attire i.e. safety goggles, chest suit or helmets, then they may cause red spots or blisters if hit on sensitive skin.

1- President

Hello Mr. President, we are here to protect you! This is the main goal of the airsoft game “President” also known as Escort. The plot of this game is taken straight out of the Mission Impossible series and comprises of two teams. One team is given the task to escort the president safely to a certain point. Note that the president is not or very lightly armed. The other team tries to kill the president. So, if the first team manages to escort the president safely to the desired location, then this team wins otherwise the other team wins. It’s as simple as that.

2- Medic

Doctors hold great significance in our lives but it is true about them in games too, well, I didn’t know that before I played Medic. Medic is one of the most popular airsoft games and is played on large scale. The main objective of this games revolves around only two things; the first one is to protect the medic and the second one is to kill all the members of the enemy team. So yes, you can say it’s a deathmatch where you have to dominate the other team in order to win. Each team has equal number of players and each team has their own medic as well. The medic is generally unarmed or very lightly armed i.e. with a handgun. This medic is protected by the other members of the team.

The sole purpose of the medic is to heal people who are injured and in terms of the game, taken down. As soon as the medic heals the player, he is up again and ready to play. So you see, the medic is a very important person and must be protected at all costs because each team tries to kill the medic of the other team. The game does not end on the death of the medic, however, the team whose medic is knocked down gets unable to bring back anymore of its knocked down members. And as soon as all the members of a team are taken down, the game ends.

3- Sniper

Sniper is another interesting game among all airsoft games. Are you familiar with the term “sniper”? Well, you must have seen one in movies at least if not in real life. The airsoft game, Sniper has one person acting as a sniper who must hide somewhere in two minutes. All the other players have to find the sniper and when they do, they must take him down by shooting him. After that, the sniper is taken to a certain point, if he manages to escape on the way and stays alive for two minutes, then the sniper wins but if he is shot again, then the sniper loses. So would you like to be the sniper in this game? Well, I would have taken the challenge if I was given the choice! Lol!

Cops and Robbers have always been the favorite of most of us. Take a trip down the memory lane and you will remember that almost all of us used to play this game in our childhood.
