Play with your food

A visit to sheppardsoftware.com reveals numerous educational games encapsulating twin topics of animals and food into tasty online activities. Animal Diet challenges players to select from herbivore, omnivore, and carnivore categories as random animals appear on the screen. Correct categorization is rewarded with cute animation: the little beast eats for you.

You can play again, but expect the same 8 animals and a human. Hint: humans are not carnivores nor omnivores, regardless of what PETA insists.

Feed the masses, or not.

Sliding gently down you screen are three foods. Waiting patiently beneath them are three hungry but persnickety creatures. Your assignment is to align the foods by species: birds get seeds, dogs get bones, etc. Wait too long and the wrong animal receives the wrong food.

The fun never stops because the food never stops. Birdfood and dogfood rain down like high-pitched squeals at a Justin Bieber concert. Gently soothing music plays in the background, belying the stress you feel as a misdirected bone disappoints a cute little bird.

Wild Life Tasty Burger

No, we're not kidding. Your search for an online animal game that lets you make hamburgers for lions is indeed over. Stand down from your quest.

Deploy your mouse to combine water, onions, breadcrumbs, paprika, eggs, ketchup, duck sauce, pork, and salt into an amorphous brownish blob. It looks almost but not quite completely unlike a hamburger. Evidently no cows wander the Serengeti. After grilling, add more ketchup, dab on supplemental duck sauce, and drench with onions, tomato, and lettuce.

The lion eats it, but he won't sleep tonight.

Animal Shelter

At gamesbox.com the animals want more than a meal: they expect shelter. Play, clean, feed, and medicate helplessly hapless creatures all day long in this free online animal game. The music is as pleasant and original as any we've ever been subjected to.

They'll eat from the palm of your digital hand. Plan to give them names as well. Each instance of creature comes from a broken home like a garbage can or a box in the gutter or a van down by the river. Continue playing the game to receive rewards of virtual money from donors. Use that cash to purchase more supplies for your dependents.

Diversity in the Online Animal Food Game Kingdom

The universal language of online animal games includes a few uncharted planets. Herein we land on kibagames.com to partake of exactly what this is. A little online experimentation indicates that numbers should be matched: three monkeys get three bananas. This isn't so bad. It's not as challenging as Jeopardy but it is more true-to-life than The Daily Show.

We won. We might have lost, but the plethora of exclamations points on the closing screen seems like a positive indicator. There was no place left to go.

This thing has over 1.1 million views. It's about online animal games

Tale this simple poll. It's easy and fun and easily fun.
