Buy Hot Wheels Diecast Batman Cars and Batmobiles

Updated on April 11, 2011

The Batmobile range was a limited collectable range produced by Hot Wheels with new releases each year including a staggering 8 new ones in 2010. The range covers vehicles from various eras of Batman from the 1940's right up to the present day movies and is probably the most comprehensive and collectable range of Batman vehicles ever produced.

There is a huge number of cars to collect and most are in the 1:50 scale and are beautifully detailed, down to the high-tech bat-gadgetry that you would expect. These cars are great for kids and who doesn't remember lying on the floor playing with Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars and recreating scenes from the TV show or the Movies. However these are also great for collectors and Batman fans and look great when displayed.

Ebay is a great source for Hot Wheels Batman Diecast Vehicles and Batmobiles both new and used especially all the discontinued and rare cars and they can be at extremely reasonable prices, Ebay also gives you a huge variety to choose from as well as allowing you to still find items that are no longer available.

This hub concentrates on the different Batmobiles that were released by Hot Wheels as Series 3 in 2010, if you are interested in the models from Series 2 please see my other Hot Wheels Batmobile Hub, if you are interested in the different Batmobiles released by Corgi including the rather more eclectic vehicles in the range such as the Catmobile then please see my Corgi Batman Diecast Vehicles Hub or my Corgi Batman Diecast Vehicles Part 2 Hub

If you are interested in other Batman memorabilia and sets please also look at my Lego Batman Hub.

Bat-Pod

This model from Hot Wheels features the Bat-Pod from the Dark Knight movie. The model of the Bat-Pod is a mix of die cast metal and plastic, and is quite a sturdy little vehicle. Because of the weighted wheels on the model the thing rolls perfectly.

The Bat-Pod was basically Batmans Batcycle from the Dark Knight film and has 20" front and rear tires (the Tumbler's front wheels), and is powered by a high-performance, water-cooled, single-cylinder engine - geared toward the lower end for faster acceleration and with no exhaust pipes. The exhaust is routed through the hollow steel/aluminum/magnesium tubing used for the frame of the bike. The Batpod is steered by the shoulders instead of hands, and the rider's arms are protected by shields.

The Penguin Batmobile

This model from Hot Wheels features a Penguin Themed Batmobile from the TV Series and is based on the episode where the Penguin steals the Batmobile. The model of the Batmobile comes with a fetching Penguin Umbrella Sunshade and a rolled up umbrella mounted as a machine gun. The model comes in its normal black colour but with very nice orange styling.

The Penguin Mobile is a great and unusual addition to the series and has a Penguin LOGO on the Sides Instead of a Bat Symbol.

BatBlade

This model from Hot Wheels features the BatBlade from the Batman and Robin movie. The model of the Batblade is a mix of die cast metal and plastic in grey and black and with its slim wheels makes a great toy.

The Batblade was Batgirls Batcycle from the Batman and Robin film and can function under the most extreme weather conditions.

Batmobile from Batman and Robin

This model from Hot Wheels features the Batmobile from the Batman and Robin movie. The model of the Batmobile is all black and has massive spoilers on the back.

This version of the Batmobile from the Batman and Robin movie had an aerodynamic chassis design and "T" axis wheelbase which provided the Batmobile counter-balance gyrometric stability, allowing for high velocity 90-degree turns at speeds greater than 70 mph without losing momentum.

Batman Forever Batmobile

This model from Hot Wheels features the Batmobile from the Batman Forever movie. The model of the Batmobile is all black and has massive spoilers on the back and a shiny chrome grille that looks like an evil set of teeth.

This version of the Batmobile from the Batman Forever movie had a Chevrolet 350 ZZ3 high-performance motor. It had high compression, 345 horsepower (257 kW), aluminum heads, angled plugs and a good valve grind. The body is made from a high-temperature epoxy fiberglass laminate. All of the air was extracted though vacuum bagging. The Batmobile also had a split cockpit canopy, separate fenders, and jet exhaust. The roof fin could be opened into a "V" shape for a more contemporary look.

Batman Returns Batmobile

This model from Hot Wheels features the Batmobile from the Batman Returns movie. The model of the Batmobile is an armored Batmobile but is really rather boring. The model has a cockpit door that slides open but other than that its pretty much style over substance.

There's not much to say about this model as its black and frankly rather dull.

BatBoat

This model from Hot Wheels features the BatBoat from the Batman Returns movie. The model of the BatBoat has very few action gimmicks or additional features but it is really a very sleak and slick version of this vehicle.

This version of the Batboat from Batman Returns is really the Bat Skiboat. Batman uses the vehicle near the climax of the film to travel through Gotham's sewer system towards the Penguin's lair.

BatMissile

This model from Hot Wheels features the BatMissile from the Batman Returns movie. The model of the BatMissile has a metal outer shell, rubber tyres, and a sliding cockpit door.

The Batmissile from Batman Returns looks a lot like a Batmobile that has been in a Compressor as it is about a third of the width of a normal Batmobile but it still looks great with all the traditional Batman styling.
