Lego Harry Potter was hugely popular series produced by Lego but it has now been discontinued. The series was produced between 2001 up until 2007. Kids and Adults are equally fascinated by the variety of models that are available in the Lego Harry Potter range. The series was based on the Harry Potter Movies and included the first five movies released. The Theme included many of the locations from the Harry Potter novels and films, in particular Hogwarts has been the main source for sets in the Harry Potter theme. At least 20 individual sets have been dedicated to recreating the school's classroom's, rooms, and the castle itself. Ebay is a great source for new and used Lego sets and especially these discontinued series and they can be at extremely reasonable prices, Ebay also gives you a huge variety to choose from as well as allowing you to still find items that are no longer available

This set was released in 2001 and includes a replica of the sorting hat used in the film, also included are a minifigure of Harry Potter, a small version of Hedwig the Owl, 2 torches, 2goblets and a scroll. This set contains 48 pieces.

This set was released in 2001 and contains the Philosopher's Stone and the Mirror of Erised also included are two minifigures of Harry Potter and Professor Quirrel with Lord Voldemort on the back of Quirrel's head. This set contains 60 pieces.

This set was released in 2001 and contains The Chess Room with a Queen and The Room of the Winged Keys, also included are two minifigures of Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. This set contains 175 pieces.

This set was released in 2001 and is a set of the Snape's Potion Classroom at Hogwarts, also included are two minifigures of Ron Weasley and Professor Snape. This set contains 163 pieces.

This set can be combined with other sets to make a bigger Hogwarts set and extra details include a cauldron, several potion bottles, and an oversized spider web.

Professor Snape is a rather shadowy master of the "dark arts," and he makes Ron Weasley's life at Hogwarts School even more difficult than it already is as a first-year student.

This set was released in 2001 and contains challenges that need to be overcome to reach the Philosopher Stones - Fluffy and the Devil's Snare also included are three minifigures of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. This set contains 238 pieces.

This set was released in 2001 and contains a replica of Hagrid's Hut, also included are two minifigures of Hagrid and Professor Dumbledore. This set contains 299 pieces.

This was the only set that included Norbert the Dragon. In 2004 a secind version of Hagrid's Hut was also released to supercede this one however this model captures the hexagonal shape of the hut better than its successor. Also included in the set were Hedwig the owl and Scabbers the rat.

This set was released in 2001 and contains a replica of the Hogwarts Express train and Platform 9 3/4, also included are three minifigures of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. This set contains an impressive 410 pieces.

This was the first set of the Hogwarts Express train made by Lego. Also included are station clocks, lampposts, wands, and broomsticks and most impressive of all a secret treasure chest launcher.

This set was released in 2001 and contains a detailed replica of Hogwarts School, including the Great Hall, the Gryffindor Tower plus other room, also included are 7 minifigures featuring  Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy, Professor Dumbledore, Hagrid and Professor Snape. This set contains a massive 682 pieces.

The Great Hall is the biggest single room in this set and contains one table and Dumbledore's seat, as well as a fireplace. The ceiling can be decorated with either a Gryffindor or a Slytherin flag, to recreate the End-of-Term Feast from the first movie. The Gryffindor common room contains a portrait of the fat lady fixed to a revolving door and a knight's armour with an oval Gryffindor shield. Just beneath the rooftop of the tower is a telescope. The set also contains one of the boats in which the students arive at the school.

This set was released in 2001 and contains two brooms and a wheeled broom cart, and Neville's Remembrall. Also included are two minifigures of Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy. This set contains just 23 pieces.

Certainly not the biggest lego set.and maybe a little over priced for what it is but Draco's sneer is great.

This set was released in 2002 and contains a troll and the Hogwarts girl's bathroom, also included is a minifigure of Harry Potter. This set contains 71 pieces.

This set lets you recreate the scene from the movie where Harry, Ron, and Hermione encounter the mountain troll in the bathroom at Hogwarts. In this set the Troll is holding a large club and is dressed in his fabric like loincloth with vest, while Harry is wearing a black robe and holding his magic wand. You can tilt the shelf underneath the bathroom sink and the Troll will fall over.

This set was released in 2002 and contains a replica of Gringotts Bank from the movie, also included are four minifigures Harry Potter, Hagrid, Griphook and a Goblin.This set contains 250 pieces.

The set also contains a rail car with rails, the bank's front entrance and a vault. You can race down to the Gringotts Bank vault in a cart with a Gringotts goblin.

Rather unusually the background of this set and 4722 and 4723 is cardboard and fixed in place by a base piece. Also contained in the classroom is the Mirror of Erised even though in the story, the Mirror of Erised is not found in a classroom but in a back corridor of Hogwarts.
