Buy Lego Pirates

Updated on March 15, 2011

Lego Pirates was a Lego theme originally released back in 1989 and which ran through until 1997. The theme focused on the classic idea of Caribbean pirates that were pitted against soldiers of colonial empires and would occasionally encounter indigenous people, very much in the vein of Pirates of the Caribbean. Whilst the pirates remained largely unchanged, their imperial adversaries were subject to various visual changes. After a long layoff from 1997 the theme was reintroduced in 2009, combining the established look of the original sets with recent LEGO elements and building styles.

This hub will concentrate on information about the newer Lego Pirates sets. The licence for producing Pirates of the Caribbean tie-ins is owned by Canadian company Mega Bloks and if you are interested in the Mega Bloks Pirates of the Caribbean please see my Buy Mega Bloks Pirates of the Caribbean Hub.
