I am a website developer, eBay trading assistant, work-at-home mum, writer and crafter.

Even if you're only the mother to one child, chances are you've come to realize a whole new definition of the word mess.

Without rhyme or reason, children love to scatter their blocks, dolls, cars and other toys throughout their play area and the rest of the house without thought for who has to clean them up.

Of course it's impossible to always keep everything neat but there are options available to keep at least some of the toys organized, or at least confined to one area while they're being played with.

A great option for any child who loves to play with lego or duplo is a lego table. There is a wide range available to suit every lego set whether you're organizing for one child or a whole tribe.

2-in-1 Kids Lego Construction Table W/chairs

With a removable activity top allowing for lego play or any other type of play or drawing and writing, this is a fun desk for one or more children to use.

This table comes with a 100 piece block set.

With a hanging bag storage and brightly colored matching chair, this is sure to be a hit for any child.

KidKraft Lego Compatible 2 in 1 Activity Table

This is a great option if you're looking for something both multifunctional and easy on the wallet.

This wooden table isn't just a lego table; the top also flips to display a map upon which a train set can be placed.

The set comes with 200 lego blocks and a 30 piece train set, promising hours of fun for kids of all ages.

Extra storage is provided under the table and it's large enough for several children to play at once.

LEGO Three-Seat Playtable

This is a great option if you have several children who all love playing with their lego and have a large collection. Also a great choice for a play centre or school.

Made of solid hardwood, it's sturdy and strong.

This table can accommodate up to six children although it only comes with three seats. With bright color lego boards it's sure to be a hit.

Suitable for either lego or duplo collections, it also has four storage spaces - three around the outside of the table and one large space in the middle.

Create Your Own Lego Table

If you don't have the room or money for a lego table, there are other options to keep your child's lego bricks organized.

Simply buy a large lego or duplo plate and use it as a great building base for your child.

You can attach the plate to a board or table if you wish.

Or simply store it with your child's lego and bring it out any time you want to keep the lego confined to one area.

Available in a range of bright primary colors, these are a must for keeping your child organized.

Tip: If your kids love to show off their work, plates are a great way to do this.

Simply let them build a diorama on the board, and it will be easily transportable.
