The Festival Begins!

The festivities return to the tower for all Guardians today on October 16th! Don't let the sights distract you long, as the festival is bringing everyone quite the bundle of treats. Aside from all the new challenges, triumphs, and rewards, this year's festival carries a heavier weight than that of the past as we remember all our fellow fallen guardians; most of all the passing of the infamous Cayde-6.

While things around the Tower won't feel quite the same without Cayde, our Chief Shipwright, Amanda Holiday, will be doing her best to give us a brighter picture to focus on by offering plenty of bounties and rewards throughout the festival. These items can be mostly attained as random rewards or you can purchase them directly from Amanda with the festival specific resource; Fragmented Souls. The Soul can be obtained through a few means, but the most common will be through the festivals bounties from the Chief Shipwright herself. To top it all off, a sweet new auto-rifle called "Horror Story" will be available for purchase with these Fragmented Souls. The rewards don't stop there though; in addition to the normal Steadfast Engram redeemable at the Eververse player's will receive an Ephemeral Engram that will unlock festival specific ghosts, ships, and sparrows

The Infinite Forest is Haunted!

While Amanda Holiday may be the main source for direct rewards, the festivities don't end there! From casual solo players to hardcore fire-teams, everyone will have a chance to delve into the Haunted Forest as the event is playable alone, premade team's, or using the matchmaking system if you need a little extra help or want to help others. Upon entering the forest, guardians will have just fifteen minutes each run to get as far into the hostile territory as they can. There's just one catch, the deeper you go into this nightmare, the difficulty increases and the enemies become tougher. The Haunted Forest is said to be available for a limited time but, luckily enough, if you've had your fill of the forest and its challenges, there's but one more mystery to unfold...

The Murdered Master...

Poor old Master Ives will be discovered murdered which will send guardians on a quest line that will change every week, updating us on the progress of tracking down Master Ives' killers. Starting October 30th, just one week before the festival comes to an end, players will be tasked with this murderous investigation; of course, yielding rewards for progression of the quest line each week.

Festivals' End

While there's no telling how long it will take to catch those behind the death of Master Ives, the Festival Of The Lost will be coming to an end on November 6th and by then, maybe there will be a few answers. Until then, Eyes Up Guardians.
