Final Fantasy Brave Exvius: Beginner Lapis Spending Guide

I'm a gamer at core but life gets in the way sometimes, so phone games here I come!

So you just started playing Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, have Rain, Lasswell and maybe a few other heroes, did a few missions in the story mode and got your hands on a bunch of those wonderful blue Lapis. And now you're thinking, what should I use these Lapis on?

In order to figure that out there's a few things you need to consider, first of all Lapis are the premium currency in the world of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, which means besides earning them in game you can also buy them with money. Second of all, always think twice before spending some. Seriously. While at first you might think there's a never ending supply, they do tend to run out later on in the game as you progress, and while you can still grind a bit daily for a few, you won't be getting hundreds a day.

You should spend Lapis on these without regret

Slots

Most importantly, friend slots. You need friend units, they will help carry you through the game, they will give you friend points which allow you to summon other units, they will help you beat tough bosses in the story. Friend slots are the first thing I bought and I don't regret it to this day.

The next good investment when trying to figure out what to spend Lapis on are the unit slots, these allow you to have more room to store summoned units and even better, more room to stockpile Cactuars for when you will actually need to level up a unit quickly.

As for the other kinds of slots like the ones for inventory, materials or equipment, you are better of boing them as you need them, no need to invest too much too early.

Daily 250 Lapis summon

When starting out you probably won't have enough good units to fill each role in a party so this usually ends up being worth it, the value of the 4 or 5 star units you can get by doing this is much bigger for a starting player than a veteran.

Besides, summoning each day is fun!

Consider spending some Lapis on these items at times

Bundle of Replenishment

This is the daily energy refill bundle. It costs 100 Lapis but it gives you more energy than your maximum energy so it might be worth it if you want to keep playing, but usually you will get your energy refilled because of leveling up early on.

The 5000 Lapis 10+1 summon

This is a tough one, it depends on what units are on the currently featured summon banner, but it might be worth it if you are really struggling with units and are stuck in the story later on perhaps. Always try to find a friend unit to help you out first though.

Never spend your hard earned Lapis on these if starting out

  • Regular energy refills or arena / colloseum orb refills - you will get plenty of these as you level up pretty fast in the beginning
  • Opening up extra chambers like Chambers of Riches - it's better to just wait a day here
  • Bundle of Riches - there are easier ways of making Gil
  • Magic Keys - you will eventually get more of these than you'll know what to do with and you can come back and open any chests you missed
  • Other random bundles - they are usually not worth it
  • Revive (if you die) - it's better to level up some more and try again later as you will get tougher and get more energy in the process too
