How do I clean the cloth on a snooker table?

Updated on September 10, 2010

21. How do I clean the cloth on a snooker table?

The first step is to find out which direction the nap is running on your table, to do this just run your hand on the table from top to bottom, the direction in which it is smooth is the direction of the nap the other direction will be against the nap.

Now you will need a Soft table brush begin brushing all the dust and debris off the table remember always brush with the nap and never against it as if you go against it you can damage the fibres on the cloth, Once you have all the debris in one place of the table get a Hoover on a low setting as to not damage the table and suck up the particles.

If there are any stains on the table use a special snooker cloth cleaner to take the dirt out of the cloth, always follow the instructions on the back of the product. Once done please brush the Nap again.

To help keep the table cleaner for longer i would recommend going about purchasing a Snooker table cloth.
