How to Solve Any Case in LA Noire
Introduction
LA Noire is a unique open-world game developed for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. As Cole Phelps, a LAPD detective, you'll tackle a diverse selections of cases scattered throughout the historic 1940's landscape. While the cases may seem diverse, with a few basic skills, you'll have no trouble solving any kind of case regardless of the crime. Follow these four steps and there won't be a case in the city of Los Angeles that you can't crack.
Step 1
Give the crime scene a thorough investigation. Picking up as much evidence as possible is crucial when interrogating suspects and discovering new locations. Special music plays as you investigate a scene. If the music is still playing, you haven't found every clue. Keep looking around until the investigation music stops.
Step 2
Read the mannerisms of the people you interview. The game was made with facial motion capture, and the actors do an amazing job. Shifting eyes and unsure voices are a great indicator that the person being questioned may not be telling you the entire truth. If you decide to accuse the person of lying, you must have evidence. Look through the evidence gathered before making any accusations.
Step 3
Immediately travel to any location that's mentioned by dispatch related to your case. Most of these locations feature events that are timed, and if you don't show up quickly enough, you may miss out on the opportunity to catch someone in the act.
Step 4
Use your intuition points whenever you're unsure. Intuition points give you hints on where clues might be and can eliminate choices when questioning someone. If you're unsure of what to do, use your points. The points are limited though, so use them wisely.
