Infamous Second Son Trophy Guide

Updated on July 31, 2014

Infamous Second Son is a PS4 Exclusive game, based around Delsin Rowe, who gains superpowers during an accident while trying to chase a fugitive with his brother.

Getting all of the Trophies in Second Son is an easy task, as all of the Trophies are self explanatory, side missions/collectables are on the map and easy to do/find. You will need to do a minimum of 2 playthroughs to get all of the story specific Trophies, due to karma choices at the end of certain missions. I would recommend doing the good playthrough first (Blue Karma choices when prompted) and doing the game on Easy, then once you've completed it, start a new game on Expert, and do an playthrough (Red Karma choices when prompted) This allows you to be more free with your attacks, as you don't need to worry about killing or injuring citizens and losing Karma, as you'll be evil anyway, and it helps through the Expert story, as you can just shoot at everything that moves instead of having to tactically aim your shots.

Step One: First Playthrough

As stated earlier, I recommend doing the Good Playthrough first, and trying to maximize your Good Karma meter, by helping civilians that are in need, or restraining certain enemies instead of killing them. By the end of the main story, you will have earned the following Trophies:

Sacrifice (Bronze)

Temperance (Bronze)

Courage (Bronze)

Mercy (Bronze)

Justice (Bronze)

Reconciliation (Bronze)

You also should have or nearly have:

True Hero (Silver)

Achieve Level 5 Good Karma

If not, just simply do Good Karma actions until you get this Trophy

Step Two: Second Playthrough:

This is the playthrough that you should be doing on the expert difficulty and with Evil Karma throughout. To get to Expert Difficulty, simply just pause the game when you get in control of Delsin, go to options and change the difficulty to expert, You must do this as you gain control of Delsin. The story isn't too hard on Expert, just make sure you have a lot of cover and plan your attacks on enemies well, and you'll fly through it, at the end of the Evil Playthrough, you will have the following Trophies:

Ruthless (Bronze)

Malice (Bronze)

Contempt (Bronze)

Revenge (Bronze)

Dominace (Bronze)

Rebellion (Bronze)

You should also be close to:

Infamous (Silver)

Achieve Level 5 Evil Karma

If you haven't got it, go around and perform evil actions/kill civillians and you'll get level 5 and the Trophy soon!

After the Main Story Trophies have been collected, you should move on to the Side Missions and Collectibles, in Second Son these are all located on the Map and each district will tell you how many of each remain and exactly where they are, so destroy each D.U.P mobile command centre and interference tower, and then most of the enemies will be gone, leaving you free to search for the rest of the collectibles and do the other miscellaneous things required for Trophies, after you've done all this, the Platinum Trophy should be yours!

The Trophies!

Reconciliation (Gold)

Finish the story with Good Karma

Simply just finish the last mission in the story with Good Karma and the Trophy will unlock after the Credits

Rebellion (Gold)

Finish the Story with Evil Karma

Again Simply finish the last mission in the Story with Evil Karma, and the Trophy will unlock after the Credits.

Everybody Out (Bronze)

Rescue 10 suspects from suspicion pens

Doing these will give you Good Karma, so make sure to do them on your good playthrough

These will also respawn instantly if you save your game and reload it, then go back to the spot where you see thecage

These are located near D.U.P Mobile Command Centres, and are on the map as small blue circles with a lock in the center of it, all you need to do is go up to the door and swipe right on the touch pad, this will open the door and free them, repeat 10 times and the Trophy is yours!

Spin- Off (Bronze)

Beat down 10 sign twirlers

This will give you Evil Karma, so I would recommend doing this on your Evil Playthrough

These will also respawn instantly if you save your game and reload it, then go back to the spot where you seen them.

These are primarily located on the Northern part of the City, they are marked by a red circle with a rectangle in the middle of it, and in the streets they are civillians spinning a sign around, all you have to do is shoot them and that counts, repeat 10 times and after the 10th one you'll get the Trophy!

Everyone's a Critic (Bronze)

Take out 10 street musicians

This will give you Evil Karma, so I would recommend doing this on your Evil Playthrough

These will also respawn instantly if you save your game and reload it, then go back to the spot where you seen them.

These are also primarily located in the northern side of the city, they are makred by a red circle with a musical note in the middle of it, and in the game they are represented by civillians playing an instrument, usually a guitar, all you have to do is shoot them and it'll count, repeat 10 times and after the 10th one you'll get the Trophy!

Just Say No (Bronze)

Bust 10 drug dealers

Doing these will give you Good Karma, so make sure to do them on your good playthrough

These will also respawn instantly if you save your game and reload it, then go back to the spot where you seen them

These events will appear all over the map, they are marked by a small blue circle with a syringe in the center, all you have to do is kill all the drug dealers in the group, and destroy the box in the middle, once you've done this 10 times, the Trophy is yours!

Freedom of Speech (Bronze)

Disrupt 10 activist rallies

This will give you Evil Karma, so I would recommend doing this on your Evil Playthrough

These will also respawn instantly if you save your game and reload it, then go back to the spot where you seen them.

These also appear all over the city, and are marked by a white circle with a line through it, in the game they are a group of people shouting and waving signs about, and all you need to do is shoot one of them and this will count towards the Trophy, after you've repeated this 10 times the Trophy is yours!

What Did You Call Me? (Bronze)

Kill 10 obnoxious Akuran Gang Members

This will give you Evil Karma, so I would recommend doing this on your Evil Playthrough

These will also respawn instantly if you save your game and reload it, then go back to the spot where you seen them.

These are only found in the southern half of the city, they are marked on the map by a red circle with a hammer and sickle on the center, in the game they are just like normal civillians but are holding guns, all you have to do is take out the entire group and it'll count towards the trophy, once you've done this 10 times, the Trophy is yours!

Someone Your Own Size (Bronze)

Rescued 10 escaped conduits from angry mobs

Doing these will give you Good Karma, so make sure to do them on your good playthrough

These will also respawn instantly if you save your game and reload it, then go back to the spot where you seen them

These are only found in the southern half of the city, they are marked on the map by a blue circle with a rectangle in the middle of it, in the game they will be lying on the floor with civillians kicking them, all you have to do is walk up and hit Triangle to heal them and it counts towards the Trophy, just repeat it 10 times and the Trophy is yours!

Walk it off (Bronze)

Heal 10 wounded civillians

Throughout the game you'll see wounded civillians lying on the floor in random areas, all you need to do is hit Triangle on them to heal them, this will probably unlock at some point during your good playthrough

Kicking and Screaming (Bronze)

Finish off 10 wounded enemies or civillians

This is the opposite to Walk it Off, as this time you have to execute the enemies/civillians rather than help them, so instead of hitting Triangle, hit Square to execute them, this will give you Evil Karma so it is recommended to do this on your Evil Playthrough.

True Hero (Silver)

Reach Level 5 Good Karma

During your Good Karma Playthrough, always choose the blue options in missions, as this will give you large amounts of Good Karma, and always try to heal civillians/restrain enemies as you pass them, and if using the Neon power, aim for enemies legs, as this will take them down without killing them, and will help increase your Karma too, if you haven't unlocked this by the end of the story then simply just do side missions like Drug Busts, Civillians trapped in Cages, or Heal Prisoners being attacked by angry mobs, and you'll soon get the Level 5 Good Karma and the Trophy to go with it!

Infamous (Silver)

Achieve Level 5 Evil Karma

The opposite of True Hero, simply just choose the red options in missions, along with killing all enemies, injured civilians, police, musicians, and activist groups. Also execute enemies that are surrendering or lying on the ground, and soon enough you'll reach level 5 Evil Karma, and the Trophy will be yours!

Bweep! Bweep! Bweep! (Bronze)

Collect half the Blast Shards

See Shardcore

Shardcore (Silver)

Collect all the Blast Shards

Destroy the D.U.P Mobile Command Center(s) in each district, as this makes the Shards appear on the minimap for that district, Shards will appear as blue dots, and will be located on flying drones that you have to shoot to get the Shard, some of the Drones are resting on ledges/walls, and others are flying, so be on the look out for them, once you've shot the drone, walk up to the shard and you can absorb it, once you've collected all of the Shards, the Trophy is yours!

Nothing To See Here (Bronze)

Destroy half of the D.U.P security cameras

See Blinded

Blinded (Silver)

Destroy all of the D.U.P security cameras

Like Shardcore, this Trophy is made a lot easier if you have destroyed all of the D.U.P Mobile Command Center(s) in each district, as all collectibles will be revealed on the map once you've done so. The Cameras are quite big and usually on the sides of buildings, and are marked on the minimap, simply just shoot them until they break, and then move on to the next one, once you've destroyed all of the D.U.P security cameras, then the Trophy is yours!

Inside Track (Silver)

Collect all of the Informant Audio Logs

Again, this trophy is easier with all of the D.U.P Mobile Command Center(s) destroyed in each district, as it'll show you where to start the Audio Log side activity, simply just hit Up on the D-Pad and follow where the signal is coming from, once you are within 3 meters of the signal, the game will let you hit the touch pad and collect the Audio Log, once you've got all of them, the Trophy will be yours!

Blown Cover (Silver)

Defeat all the D.U.P Secret Agents

Again, this trophy is easier with all of the D.U.P Mobile Command Center(s) destroyed in each district, as it'll show you where to start the Secret Agent Side Mission, each district has one secret agent mission, all you have to do is look at the photograph, then look in the marked area, then find and kill the secret agent, once you've done all of these, the Trophy is yours!

Big Brother (Silver)

Destroy all of the D.U.P Hidden Cameras

Again, this trophy is easier with all of the D.U.P Mobile Command Center(s) destroyed in each district, as it'll show you where to find the Hidden Cameras side mission, all districts have one, except from one which has three, all you have to do is look through the camera, analyse the surrounding area, then find the hidden camera and destroy it, once you've destroyed all of the hidden cameras, the Trophy is yours!

Coloring Inside the Lines (Silver)

Complete all the Stencil Art

Stencil Art is marked by a Spray Can symbol on the map, all you have to do is walk up to it and hit Down on the D-pad, then turn the PS4 Controller on it's side, so you are holding it like an actual spray can, and then shake it. Once you've done this, use R2 to spray the open areas of the stencil, keep doing this until you've completed the drawing, and once you've completed all of the Stencil Arts, the Trophy is yours!

Note: You can get Good/Evil Karma depending on which option you choose at the start of the Drawing

Prank Call (Bronze)

Complete a District Showdown

See Final Showdown

Hello Operator (Bronze)

Complete half of the District Showdowns

See Final Showdown

Final Showdown (Silver)

Complete all of the District Showdowns in the City

To unlock District Showdowns, you must bring the enemy control in a territory below 30%, This is done by completing side activities and finding collectibles, every district has one showdown, simply go to the marked point on the map, and kill all of the enemies that appear, and you'll finish the Showdown, unlocking a Fast Travel Point to that area, and making all enemies in that district disappear, once you've done all of the District Showdowns, the three Trophies are yours!

Note: Wait until doing all of the Combat related Trophies before doing this, as completing District Showdowns removes the majority of enemies from the city, and makes the Combat ones much harder than they are.

One Down (Bronze)

Clear the D.U.P completely out of a district

See Clean Sweep for details

Home Field Advantage (Bronze)

Clear the D.U.P out of half the districts in the city

See Clean Sweep for details

Clean Sweep (Silver)

There are a total of 13 districts to clear in the game. To clear all the D.U.P. out of a district you must destroy the D.U.P. mobile command center, do all side activities, find all collectibles and complete the final showdown. All of these things will be marked on your in-game world map once you destroy the D.U.P. mobile command center.

Total CARnage (Bronze)

Destroy 5 cars in 5 seconds

This is easiest with the Cinder Missile Smoke Power, just upgrade it fully so that it holds 5 missiles, find an area with a lot of cars, and blow 5 up in quick succession, and the Trophy is yours!

Drop Everything (Bronze)

Comet Drop over 170 meters

This Trophy can only be obtained after beating the Story

Climb up the tallest building in the game, located at Uptown (the one you climbed up during the final mission) Once at the top, consume the Video Power, get to the top point of the building, and use the glide to go through the satellite dish, which will toss you far into the air, quickly hit Circle twice in a row to avoid hitting any parts of the building on the way down, and then hold down Square to perform a comet drop, if you've done this right you will land in the street and the Trophy will unlock just after you land.

Keep It Up (Bronze)

Stay in the air for more than 45 seconds

This is easiest once you've completed the game and have the concrete power, simply just go to a relatively high building, jump off and hover using either X or L1, and once you hit the ground, if you stayed in the air for more than 45 seconds, the Trophy will be yours!

Put That Anywhere (Bronze)

Defeat 10 enemies by detonating ammo crates

Throughout the game you'll see the ammo crates, they are crates with an explosive symbol on the side, and will explode when you shoot them, they are mainly found in D.U.P Mobile Command Center areas, so simply just shoot them when an enemy is nearby, and if you kill the enemy, it will add one to the Trophy Counter, if you are further in the game you just have to time it better to get the crate when an enemy is near it, or if you've done all of the D.U.P Showdowns, wait until a D.U.P raid occurs, and get it there, once you've killed the 10th enemy via the ammo crate, the Trophy will be yours!

Hat Trick (Bronze)

Defeat an enemy using three different power sources

There are four powers and they are marked with the following colors on your mini-map:

Smoke = Brown (Chimneys, Destroyed Vehicles)

Neon = Purple (Neon Signs)

Video = Blue (Satellite Dishes, TVs and other Screens)

Concrete = Grey (Fallen D.U.P Enemies, only available after beating the story)

Simply find three of these power sources near to each other, preferably on a roof as it's easier to identify which enemy you are attacking as they wont run off as easily. Then look for a group of enemies, or a singular one, take out the group and leave one enemy, then shoot the last enemy with the first power, change to the second one, shoot the enemy with the second power, change to the third one, then kill him with the third power, and the Trophy will unlock!

Double Smokestack Attack (Bronze)

Dash through two red air vents without touching the ground and then Comet Drop on an enemy

To do this you need to have the Smoke Power active, Dash through two air vents in a row by using Circle, (Gliding is allowed to get between the Air Vents) and then Comet Drop on an enemy by using Square in the air. A good location for this is in the Uptown district, which is on the southern island. This district has two DUP command centers and the one on the left side of the map is perfect for this.

The buildings to the south of the command center have lots of red air vents. You need to enter the first one on street level. Halfway up the building are additional air vents. Use double dash and glide to navigate to the second vent and you will be tossed into the air. Now you only need to Comet Drop to the platform that holds the DUP mobile command. There are lots of enemies on this platform. The enemy does not have to die, he just needs to stand in the impact zone.

Cough Drop (Bronze)

Comet drop on three coughing enemies

Simply just find a group of Drug Dealers near each other, find a point near them that you can quickly jump off, and while using your smoke power, throw a Sulfur Bomb by pressing L1, next quickly jump and hit Square to comet drop on the enemies and get the Trophy!

Make Fetch Proud (Bronze)

Hit three weak points with Neon Beam in 6 seconds

During the Main Story you'll meet Fetch, an escaped Conduit, and get her Neon Powers off of her, when holding down L2, you'll see either a red mark on their head, or a blue mark on their legs, and all you have to do is his three of these weak points on different enemies in six seconds, and the Trophy is yours!

Excessive Force (Bronze)

Use Karmic Streak attack to defeat exactly one enemy

Note: I recommend using Good Karma to do this Trophy, as it is easier to fill up the Karmic Meter

All powers except Concrete have a Karmic streak attack, all you have to do is fill up your Karma meter by doing good actions (helping civilians, restraining enemies, etc) and once it's full, attack a group of enemies, kill all of them except one, and hit Down on the D-Pad to use your Karmic Streak, if you kill one enemy with the streak, the Trophy will be yours!
