Activity Play Mats that are BPA Free

Play Mats for Kids that are BPA Free

BPA or Bisphenol A is used to make polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins are used to make up several products used in todays society. This includes dinnerware, kids toys, microwave dishes, and many other items.

This chemical has been highly reported as dangerous and potentially harmful especially in children for the past few years. Manufacturers have noticed this and have started making more and more products BPA free.

Kids activity mats are something children enjoy playing on. Whether using them under high chairs or tables, or on the floor for art projects, or at the beach or park for sitting on. The preference is that these mats be safe and chemical free for our kids.

Activity mats are great for messy kids. They are resistant to stains, UV resistant, can be used in many different situations and come in a variety of styles and colors. Typically these are made from EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate), vinyl, cotton, or polyester which are BPA and phthalate-free. The surfaces are made to be cleaned easily with a damp cloth.

BPA free mats are also great for a baby to use during playtime. Most moms love having a nice area for baby to play on but they also want it safe and free of harsh chemicals.

Baby's and kids are the ones that can be harmed most from these destructive chemical so be sure to look for alternatives when purchasing activity mats, toys, blankets, bedding and other items. You will be surprise that the prices are comparable to other mats and even if you have to spend a couple extra dollars it is well worth the health of a child.

Consider BPA free toys and Organic Items for Baby

When shopping for toys, cups, bottles, blankets and other items consider purchasing BPA or chemical free items.

Many bottles and baby cups are now available BPA free. Blankets for baby come in many organic varieties including cotton and other natural fibers. Web sites such as Amazon and stores like Target and others are now stocking more and more organic products for kids.

Why buy BPA or green toys? Well, as we know kids have a tendency to put everything in their mouth and with all the chemicals and toxins they already are exposed to why add to it. There are many adorable toys and baby items that can be found for kids that are safe and fun to play with.

From food to diapers and clothing parents can decide how much organic products they choose to feed or cloth a baby with.  At least there are options no matter which direction you go.

Check out some toys on Amazon and be sure to check the baby section for some organic products also. Blankets, bedding and many other decorative items can also be found.
