Kingdoms of Camelot - Building an Army

Overview

This Kingdoms of Camelot page is devoted to introducing you to the armies that are available to be built at the barracks. This only gives you the stats necessary for you to make decisions on the pro's and con's of building various units.

Kingdoms of Camelot is a free online game played within Facebook.  It challenges you to build a city, manage troops, balance your resource production and leverage your overall power to achieve your goals.

This real time strategy game has you playing with up to one hundred players in your alliance and coordinating wars or peacetime activities with other players.  The alliance is there for support and mutual defense.

The following analysis on the different types of troops is critical when deciding what to build to defend your cities in this Kingdoms of Camelot strategy guide.

Supply Troops

Supply troops are not very good at fighting, but can carry resources to your other cities or friends, or carry loot back when you plunder enemy cities. These are extremely weak, but can carry a reasonable load during the beginning phases of the game.

Militiamen

Militiamen are citizens of your city who have some military training. They are a good beginning for your army, but no match for troops with more training.

Scouts

Scouts move quickly, and bring back information about enemy positions and numbers, but are not strong fighters.

Pikemen are the most basic heavily trained troops.  Their long pikes are very effective against horses.

Heavy cavalry are far more armored than regular cavalry.  This armor provides them defense and more power to their attacks, but costs them some speed
