League of Legends Akali , The Fist of Shadow Guide
LoL Akali
You have Chosen Akali!
Akali is one of the ninjas of League of Legends. An energy user Akali is a high burst champion/carry. Akali is wildly popular due to her ability to kill almost anyone under normal circumstances (well farmed, early kills, low deaths). Akali is called the Fist of Shadow because of one of her abilities that allows her to go invisible while not attacking an enemy. This move is key to the way Akali's moves work, without the ability to go invisible during a fight her overall success is diminished. Akali is also empowered by having two passives which add both damage and survivability to the champion.
Akali Runes
Marks = Greater Mark of Insight +.95 magic pen x9
Glyphs = Greater Glyph of Force +.17 ability power per level x9
Seals = Greater Seal of Resilience +1.41 armor x9
Quintessence = Greater Quintessence of Potency x3
Explanation:
Akali needs to hit hard and survive while doing it. The magic pen allows Akali to do more damage with her AP scales, the AP gives her burst even without items, and the armor is because you will realize Akali can be quite squishy under fire and gets focused quite often. Ranged ad champions like Ashe will harass her making the extra armor a welcoming factor.

Akali Core Build
Akali Items
Akali is an assassin type champion. She requires both damage, speed, and a slow. This is why Boots of Swiftness, Ryali's Crystal Scepter, and Lich Bane is such a good core build.
Starting Items:
1. Boots of Speed with x3 Health Pots
Gives you lot of speed to help with farming, also the 3 health pots will keep you in lane longer to level.
2. Dorian's Blade
Gives you your 2nd Passive Spell Vamp, Survivability in early fights.
3. Long Sword + x1 Health Pot
Gives you your 2nd Passive Spell Vamp, Extra Health for Harassing.
Damage Items:
- Rabadon's Deathcap - You need this in every build, basically this item increases your ability power drastically heightening your burst insanely.
- Hextech Gunblade - A great item that gives lifesteal and spell vamp. Its great for hybrid type Akali and has a wonderful built in slowing Active.
- Mejai's Soulstealer - Only get this if your getting many kills/assists and not dying. If you believe you will die more then 2-5 times before late game don't get one!
- Guinsoo's Rageblade - Another item very useful to Akali, you can get this if you are more of a person that likes to take down towers, inhibitors, etc. because it's attack speed allows you to damage them more.
- Moonflair Spellblade - This item is when you have an enemy team with heavy crowd control since you don't get Mercury's Treads. Its an underrated item IMO.
- Void Staff - This helps you combat people with high magic resist.
- Hextech Revolver - This item allows you to life leech off minions and has an added 40 ability power! Getting this item early helps greatly as you can stay in lane and combat longer.
Survivability Items:
- Zhonya's Hourglass - Get this item if the enemy team is killing you with extensive amounts of Attack Damage. It is also good vs teams that are focusing you first using the Active it will keep you alive though any assault.
- Guardian Angel - Balanced AD and AP protection. The passive allows you to revive once every 5 minutes to keep fighting or a chance escape.
- Abyssal Scepter - Use this if your dying to Magic Damage.
- Rod of Ages - This item will make you tanky, while most Akali's dont use it it can really change a game when you realize you almost kill them but they survive with just 200 hp left.
- Quicksilver Sash - Great for when there's tons of crowd control on the enemy team, and to counter ultimates like Infinite Duress by Warwick, Nether Grasp from Malzahar, etc.
- Warmog's Armor- This item provides you with an immense amount of health with the original 1370 health, and the passive permanently gaining health per minion & champion kill. An Akali that is carrying who obtains this item will become unstoppable in normal fights.

Lane Presence
Early Game - Akali is sort of weak early game. Focus on farming and leveling. Harass enemies with Q Anytime you can. It is advised to only go in with your laning partner or else stay back.
Mid Game - Akali now has the upper hand on most champions due to her ult. Starting now you should focus on champions and getting fed of player kills, not minions. If you are dying a lot at this stage it is recommended to buy a survivability item. You should also have at least your boots of swiftness and ryalis now.
Late Game - Akali late game is deadly. You have your full core build, some extra damage or survivability items. If you did good early and got a Soulstealer then it should have full stacks by now. You main focus is to win team fights for your AD carries to be able to push towers and win. Also, with your Lich Bane you can push towers extremely fast.
If you find yourself dying a lot late game get a Warmogs (death by burst damage) or a Guardian Angel (death by prolonged damage).
