Updated on December 18, 2015

Lego-Popular Building Sets

The most popular toy building sets of all kids today is the classic Lego toys.

Lego building sets continues to be a very hot item with children of all ages.

Today, Lego offers a wide variety of standard sets as well as theme packages, such as, racing cars, Lego batman sets, Harry Potter Lego sets, dinosaurs, Star Wars, Lego people, and magnetic building sets of all kinds.

These are just a few of the theme sets available today.

Many of the Lego sets are combining the fun of building with children and adults, creating entertainment for the whole family.

Parents and children are bonding together more often, to create different imaginative buildings, projects and most of all developing motor skills by spending time together and creating something fun and challenging.

Construction Toys

Many of the creative toys that involves building an object, are more advanced and more challenging than ready-made toys.

Lego provides education as well as fun for all children.

Many ready-made toys focus only on the fun part and not the creative part.

This is a primary reason that Lego toys has survived the toy industry for a very long time and continues to be a giant toy leader.

Lego is well known all over the world and is better known as the largest manufacturer of children's educational toys.

Fine Motor Skills

Many Lego toys are designed to help develop fine motor skills in children with disabilities.

Motor skills allows children the ability to manipulate different objects, materials and various tools.

The skills vary according to different task, such as, writing, manipulating a computer mouse, making clay sculptures and putting together a Lego project.

Listed below are Fine Motor Skills:

* Grasping a pencil, brush, glue stick, or building blocks

* Manipulating or using play doh, clay, paper or scissors

* Hand-Eye co-ordination such as writing or moving a mouse

Many of the Fine Motor Skills can be improved with Lego toys.

Lego Quality

Lego is known for its quality, durability and simplicity.

It is built for children of all ages.

Lego encourages children to have fun and to develop their imagination, creativity and problem solving skills.

There are many toy brands available today, none of them meet the superior quality or reputation that Lego building sets provides.

Many Selections

Another important factor that has helped Lego stand apart from other toys, is the way it has kept itself current with different time periods.

Any new story that children are interested in, would become immediately available by Lego manufacturers.

Today, you will find many popular Lego's available like Avatars, Harry Potter, Prince of Persia, Star Wars, Toy Story, Indiana Jones, Sponge Bob, and many more.

Building Better Minds

The value of LEGO building sets encourages and enhances the developing young minds and imaginations of many children and adults by building a foundation for more creative learning and innovation.

I was one of those "kids" playing with Legos in a waiting room waiting for a prescription to be filled for my mother-in-law one time. No real kids I thought...why not? It was fun! Haha!
