Mega Man 3 - The Peace Keeping Robot
The Plot
After two wars with Mega Man, Dr. Wily has seemingly had enough and is seemingly willing to reform and give up his wicked ways. He then collaborates with Dr. Light to build Gamma, a peacekeeping robots. They send eight robot masters to eight planets to mine elements to help build Gamma. The new robot masters are Shadow Man, Spark Man, Gemini Man, Magnet Man, Needle Man, Top Man, Snake Man and Hard Man. Everything seems to be fine until the eight robot masters go haywire.
What is going on? Is this a mere coincidence or is someones sinister plot unfolding? Mega Man goes to the eight planets to investigate.
To add to this is the mysterious Break Man. He appears out of nowhere and challenges Mega Man on several occasions. Who is he? What is his agenda?

Concept of the Game
The game continues to be a platformer with the rock-paper-scissors concept where each robot master is vulnerable and resistant to certain weapons in your arsenal. Your capacity for energy tanks has increased from four to nine. You now also can slide under obstacles and in order to avoid getting hit. You now also have a robot dog named Rush to help you in your adventures. Rush can transform into a spring, a jet and a submarine. You can also save your progress through a password.

Dr. Wily has a vast new robot army to curb stomp Megaman and hamper his efforts to restore the peace.

Robot Masters
Just as in the previous installment, the number of robot masters would eight from here on. This installment features Needle Man, Magnet Man, Gemini Man, Hard Man, Top Man, Snake Man, Spark Man and Shadow Man. Defeating a robot master would yield you his power.

Needle Man is based on Metal Man’s design. Like Metal Man, he can hurl sharp metallic objects – in this case needles at his foes. These needles are so lethal that they can pierce 10 inch thick stone slabs. He also has a retractable spikes on his head that he can extend to do damage to his opponents. Defeat him and gain the Needle Cannon.

Magnet Man is the master of magnetism. He uses his magnetic powers to cling to metallic walls and to attract foes towards him. He can also launch magnet shaped projectiles as weapons. Defeat him and gain the Magnet Missile.

Gemini Man has the power to create a holographic version of himself to place the odds in his favor. He also has a buster weapon and laser that comes from his arm cannon. The Gemini Laser is deadly in its speed and ability to reflect of surfaces. Defeat him and gain the Gemini Laser.

Hard Man
Hard Man has a ceramic titanium chassis that makes him ultra-durable. He can launch his fists at you. He can also jump high and try to crush you under 3 tons of heavy metal. Defeat him and gain the Hard Knuckle.

Top Man
Top Man has the ability to spin as a form of attack or to deflect attacks against him. He also can create spinning tops to attack opponents with. He cannot spin too long however as this spinning action causes damage to his internal mechanisms. Defeat him and gain the Top Spin.

Snake Man is calculating and cunning much like his reptilian inspiration. He is able to squeeze through cracks and crevasses to explore unreachable areas. He also has the ability to launch snake-like missiles that can seek out the opponent like a heat seeking missile. Defeat him and gain the Search Snake.

Spark Man has two giant electrodes in the lieu of hands. He can use this to generate powerful electronic blasts to damage his foes. Spark Man closely resembles a spark plug thus inspiring his name. He is more powerful than his electrically inspired predecessor Elec Man.Defeat him and gain the Spark Shock.

Shadow Man
Shadow Man has mysterious origins and is believed to be an alien robot reprogrammed by Dr. Wily. He is stealthy, cunning and has excellent fighting capabilities. His body is also made of an unidentified alien metal. He has the ability to throw giant shuriken coated with a deadly substance that is not of this Earth. Defeat him and gain the Shadow Blade.

Doc Robot K-176 possesses all of the powers of the eight robot Masters from Mega Man 2. Once all eight of the original robot masters in Mega Man 3 are defeated, you will face Doc Robot eight times. Twice in each of the stages of Needle Man, Gemini Man, Spark Man, and Shadow Man.

Break Man / Proto Man
Break Man
Break Man is actually Proto Man. He is the elder brother to Mega Man as he was the very first humanoid robot created by Dr. Light. Proto Man would switch allegiances throughout the series and would either alight with Dr. Wily or with Mega Man.
