Modern Warfare 2 tips and strategies

Updated on July 15, 2012

Modern Warfare 2

As anyone who has picked up a controller and played call of duty modern warfare 2 will know it is an easy game to just pick up and play,Just grab a couple of guns and go tearing round the maps learning where everything is and just shooting people and having fun,but there is nothing like experience, knowing where all the hideouts are and the secrets that will keep you one step ahead of the game. These tactics will not put you on top the leader boards as most of those people are boosters anyway, but it will keep you ahead of most of the players who just pick it up and play.I have been there running around aimlessly shooting at anything that moves only finding myself with a kill/death ratio that has me hanging my head in shame, only hours and hours of learning all the tips have i progressed.

Modern Warfare 2

Weapons:Obviously not all weapons are available from the start until you have progressed and unlocked them, but my personal favourite weapon is the scar-h with a silencer and red dot sight and secondary spas-12 shotgun.

Strategy:Personally i like to move around,i am a huge fan of camping out and popping players as they run past but in this game it is not possible for too long as unless you have your back to something solid as you will get flanked and killed, plus the players you are killing will only suffer it a few times before working out where you were and that you are not moving then hunt you down and kill you.Move around and preferably stay away from the central areas of the map as this is where you are most likely to be killed,Flank the outsides of the map whilst looking out for when players fire their weapons as this gives away their positions.

Tips:Knifing....Whenever you are not quite quick enough with your gun then get into the habit of slashing wildly with your knife as this can kill with one decent shot.

Remember if you have claymores then leave them at the most popular entrances although bear in mind that if players have the radar screening then the claymore wont blow up until after they have gone.

Sticky grenades are much more effective then there counterparts use them wisely.

When getting a kill streak reward that requires you to control a missile don't get overexcited and just launch it anywhere, make sure that you are positioned somewhere safe before using it then try and aim it carefully to kill as many as possible.

use these tips and hopefully with them they will make your gaming better and you will leapfrog your friends up the leader boards.
