A new movie from Walt Disney Pictures, The Princess and the Frog” will start off the 2009 Holiday Season in a big way. The movie is fun, adventurous, and exciting with a New Orleans Mardi Gras themed setting. Children will want to see this movie and own the new Wii video game.
The Princess and the Frog movie from Disney Pictures, is scheduled to be released in New York and Louisiana, on November 25th, and will be in theaters everywhere December 11th.
Randy Newman, American singer/songwriter, arranger, composer, and pianist has composed the musical score. Some of Mr. Newman's film scores include Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., and Cars. Some awards to Randy's credit are two Emmy Awards, four Grammy Awards. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2002, and a Disney Legend, in 2006. The movie is from a classic tale, but has a whole new twist, from the Directors of Disney's Little Mermaid and Aladdin movies.
Nintendo Wii is offering the official video game that was inspired by the upcoming release of The Princess and the Frog, where players will be able to experience the exciting jazz-infused era of the 1920's, in New Orleans.
Players will be able to take on new challenges with Tiana, the star of the movie, while she pursues her dreams. The Wii video game has many fun adventures planned.
The Wii video game gives players with opportunities to meet their favorite characters from the movie, along with some new friends. Challenging triumphs over enemies and frog games in the bayou are just a few surprises to be expected in this new video game. Players will also be able to create music and cook New Orleans style foods. The Wii video game takes twists and turns along the journey to discover how to make Tiana's dreams come true.
The video is rated E for Everyone, and will be available, on November 24, 2009. Pre-orders are being accepted with a $5.00 discount at the Disney website.
