Personalized Baby Shower Favor Ideas

Updated on March 14, 2014

Cute Ways To Thank The Guests!

Baby showers are great events: expectant moms get to share the anticipation and excitement they feel – and get some reassurance from veteran moms as well. And their friends and family get to shower her with attention, gifts, and a day of pampering, even if pampering is just sitting back with her feet up, eating treats and opening presents. Sounds good to us! To thank her guests, there is nothing better than cute personalized baby shower favors. Here are some ideas to get you started.

Inexpensive Personalized Favors

Find a baby shower website that offers inexpensive personalized favors.  You can find, for example, small scented soy candles with customizable labels, gift bags of teas, coffees, and cocoas, candy wrappers (which are easy to make, too, if you have a printer or some time), mint tins, seed packets, scented sachets, and much more.  These are printed with your guests' names and a “thank you” message.

Personalized Favor Boxes

Popcorn favor boxes are fun. You can find sites such as Baby Gifts and Gift Baskets (www.baby-gifts-gift-baskets.com) that customize your boxes with your name, and “Kelly's (insert your name here!) about to pop!” These are shipped to you flat, and you simply pop them open, fill with popcorn, candies, chocolate-covered pretzels, homemade cookies,or other goodies.

Cookie Baby Shower Favors

Make some goodies, like sugar cookies, and personalize with your guests' names and/or the name of the mother and date of shower. If you know it, you can also make cookies featuring the baby's name. Better yet, make a big batch of cookies, buy decorating supplies like frosting, sprinkles, and decals, and let your guests make their own. The cookie favors can then put these into a personalized gift bag or favor box to enjoy at home. People really do like to do something at showers, and this may just be more preferable than playing baby-themed games!

Let The Guests Get in on the FUN!

Let the guests in on the fun. Many baby showers feature crafts. You can find plain 3x5 wood frames that your guests can decorate with paints, glitter, and stickers. They can bring these home for their own children or give it back to mom for the baby's room. Other ideas along these lines include painting onesies with fabric paint or having guests team up to make scrapbook pages. At a baby shower, many guests would rather give to them mom than take home a little prize.

Charitable Donations

In lieu of favors, the hostess can make a donation to a local charity in honor of each guest. If you were going to spend about $2 per person for a favors, why not donate $2 per person for your favorite charity. You can print little cards telling your guests that they are being honored with a donation in their name. Again, most attendees at a baby shower are in a giving mood, and this will be the perfect thanks for kindhearted guests. Giving to a cause close to the expectant mother's heart will be a thoroughly appreciated gesture by all.

Favors Are A Great Way To Say Thanks!

Most guests at a baby shower do not expect a gift, but providing personalized favors is a nice way to thank them for taking the time to celebrate with you. As they are in the giving, baby mood, it may be a good time to let them give, either with a donation in their honor or by making the mother a onesie or other homemade gift at your party. In any case, useful baby gifts and favors are the most appreciated and thoughtful items that you could possibly give both to Mom and the guests.
