Radiance Trait Tree

Updated on January 30, 2015

Radiance Outline

Putting points into the Radiance Trait tree gives the guardian increases precision and condition damage. This again just adds to the damage output of the guardian. Another important aspect of this tree is it allows you to constantly use your virtue of justice. This means that your enemies will constantly be on fire and you`ll do increased damage to them. Continue to read and i`ll explain how this trait field will increase your DPS output.

Justice is Blind

It was previously stated that each trait tree has three minor traits and this is the same. The first of them is called Justice is blind. Putting one point into this tree makes your F1 ability to blind all foes around you. What blind does is makes the next attack of your opponent miss. This just adds to the survivability off this build. With typical mobs in this game you will be able to kill them without them hitting you because of the blind this build can sustain.

Renewed Justice

Putting three points into this tree gives you one of the most important traits in this build, Renewed Justice. With this trait when you kill a foe your virtue of justice in automatically renewed. So, you can activate the virtue, blind your enemy, kill them before they can see you and then activate the virtue right away on your next enemy. This allows you to spam blind to every enemy you encounter.

Radiant Power

Last put not lest putting 5 points into this tree with give you a straight up damage bonus to your guardian. The last minor trait you will acquire is called Radiant Power. This trait increase your damage output by 10% to enemies inflicted with a condition. Since this build relies on the constant sustain of fire damage as well as blind, your enemies will always have a condition. This is a DPS machine. So far from two minor traits in Zeal and radiance we have a 20% increase in damage and we aren't even done yet.

Radiant Major Traits

The Radiance line like the others has 13 major traits to choose from. If you wanna check them out you can go here. This lists all the traits in a table fashion. The three traits to choose from this tree for out DPS guardian are, Blind Exposure, Powerful Blades, and Right-Hand Strength.

Blind Exposure

This trait goes so well with all the blind that we do that it's almost a no brainier. With blind exposure active, when we apply a blind to our foe with also apply 3 stacks of vulnerability. This amounts to a 3% increase in damage however we can stack multiple blinds quickly and get the number to about 9%. That's now an almost 30% increase in damage output. The vulnerability lasts for 10 seconds however, your foe wont.

Powerful Blades

Our next DPS radiance trait is called Powerful Blades. This trait increases our damage output while wielding a sword or spear by 10%. The damage output just keeps getting higher as now if you've been following along that is a total increase of about 40% damage. Our DPS is now getting into the warriors territory. For example If your sword auto attack hits for 700 damage normally, with this 40% increase you're now hitting for almost 1000 damage. Also since this is a berserk build which I'll get into later, you also have an over 50& percent chance of critical damage. That however is for another day, back to the traits.

Right-Hand Strength

The final trait in this with work with your berserker set Armour and weapons to push your critical chance through the roof. While wielding a one handed weapon Right-Hand Strength increases you critical chance by 15%. You will have around a 65% critical chance which is extremely high, not to mention that your critical damage is 62% extra. What that all means is that if you hit critical with your 1000 auto attack, it's now 1600. All this damage can really add up for some serious hurt, and you foes won't even see you. That's why this build is called blind fire.

Later on I will be covering The final Valor Tree. Then I will Talk about the weapons and Armour guardians have available and what`s viable to use. To see the complete build go here: Blind Fire.

Thanks for reading and come back soon.

Are you looking forward to the Heart of Thorns expansion
