A Review Of Scrap Mechanic
Scrap Mechanic
The Graphics
The look of the game is great. The style fits the game well. Since Scrap Mechanic was released in January of 2016, the game has got some updates to the graphics. They are planning to update the art style when survival is released, I will go more in-depth later.
Gameplay
In Scrap Mechanic, you can build almost anything mechanical. You can build out of wood, brick, and metal blocks and many more blocks if you have mods. You can build machines that can drive, walk, fly, or even throw explosives. You can paint in 10 different colors in 4 different amazing shades. There are also many mods you can download from the steam workshop that adds new blocks and adds some new mechanics. Some items are small but fun, like the Duck. They also have A few music blocks called Totebot Heads that make a few different sounds. Their arent really any weapons in the game except for the spud gun that can only break glass and cardboard. Pistons are also in the game, they can very useful, but sometimes they can break.
Problems
Scrap Mechanic has some performance issues that the Devs are work on. Massive builds that aren't attached to the ground could cause a lot of lag or your game to crash. The multiplayer is could also use some work.
Survival
The Devs are working on a survival mode for Scrap Mechanic. There are planning to make many different changes to the game when the mode is released. They will update the art style, adding dynamic lighting, and add enemies and creatures.
