Shopping Street Strategy Level 7

Updated on June 10, 2013

Level 7

building layout shopping street level 7
building layout shopping street level 7

I showed how to beat the last level of Shopping Street and someone asked me to show them how to beat level 7.

There's probably a better way, but this gets the job done. I placed the buildings in the above layout. I placed them from first to last: pet shop, boutique, toy store, jewelry, electronics, furniture, restaurant. Generally just upgrade them as they let you. But be smart. For example, if you have the choice between upgrading a pet shop for the first time, or the boutique store for the second time, just look at the chart below and make an educated guess.

Take which upgrade?
Take which upgrade?

A basic pet shop holds 5 people and charges them $75. At the next level, 10/$112, you stand to gain 5 extra customers and $37 extra per person.

The boutique store (first upgrade) holds 8 people and charges them $75. At the final upgrade, 12/$100, you stand to gain 4 extra customers and $25 extra per person.

Since both buildings pump out customers at about the same rate, you obviously want to upgrade the pet shop since it has one more extra customer than the boutique store and you make more money per person. (Hopefully that makes sense)

Oh, and on this try at level 7, I added the bus stop on day 9. Hope it helps.

This is an unofficial list of the buildings to help you determine which upgrades to make. The "VERY SLOW", "SLOW", "FAST", and "VERY FAST" are based only on observation.

i know how to cheat a little:

if you want to build a new shop and you have not enough cash, put on slow mode and wait til you can build it. build it and when the bar shows 100% click menu then resume game and the shop is complete!

Okay I played again and it looks to me like you're just leaving a little money on the table as you play. You need to squeeze as much money from people as you can as early as you can.

Beginning of day 1, I place the pet shop and the bench. At the end of day 1, I have $2410. It costs $2500 for a boutique shop so I place it as soon as I get enough money, during day 2 (I put it on slow mode and place the building as soon as it hits $2500, while the people are still walking in).

At the end of day 2, I have $1050. I can't do anything at all on day 3 because I end it with $2790 and the first boutique upgrade costs $5000. At the end of day 4 I have $5100 so I buy the upgrade before I start day 5. Day 5 I end with $3850.

During the end of day 6, while the people are still walking, I place the toy store (when I reach $7,000). Since the people are still walking, I am able to grab some of those customers before the end of the day. I end day 6 with $1360, so I go ahead and place the music ad, which leaves me with $560.

Day 7. I can't upgrade the pet shop while the people are shopping there, so I wait for the end of the day. At the end of day 7, I end up with $6370. The pet shop upgrade costs $6,000, so I'm left with $370. Same thing for day 8. I finish it with $9010, so I buy the $9000 upgrade, leaving me $10.

On day 9, I immediately place the newsstand when I get the $1000. When the people clear, I have $10,276 (I wait for all of the street traffic to clear before I place the bus stop, so I can get as much money from them as I can). I place the bus stop, leaving me with $5276. After they are done buying from the stores and the newsstand, I'm left with $7956. The boutique upgrade costs $7500, so I buy it and am left with $456 at the end of day 9.

On day 10, I put up another newsstand as soon as I hit $1000. When I get near $15,000, I put it on slow mode and place the jewelry store as soon as I can, that way I can get more money from some of the last people. I end day 10 with $635.

At the end of day 11, I end up with $18,984. I buy the toy store upgrade which costs $14,000, so I'm left with $4,984. I buy a music ad, now I'm at $4,184. My goal is at 26% so far.

On day 12, I immediately place the electronics store when I get $25,000, allowing me to catch some of the stragglers' money. I end day 12 with $1289.

I upgrade the toy store at the end of day 13, leaving me with $6276, goal 43%.

On day 14, I place the furniture store when I reach $35,000. I end it with $425, goal 54%.

Day 15, place the music ad as soon as you get the money. I upgrade the jewelry store at the end, leaving me $3235, goal 65%.

Day 16 I saved money and ended up with $41,354. On day 17, I was able to make the $50,000 for the electronic store upgrade before they even reached it. I added the restaurant a little late but ended day 17 with $15,146, goal 94%.

Day 18 ends early. You win.

Hi Al, I haven't really had the time to look into this. I honestly don't know what's going on. I've played the way posted above a couple of times now and it works for me. Are you playing on Kongregate.com? Have they tweaked the game recently and I'm somehow playing an older version?

Just looking at my first day, though, I end it with only $2380, not $2680. And I ended day 2 with only $1020, not $2040. I wonder if we're somehow playing different versions of the same game?
