Stickman Rush Game Tips and Tricks Guide

Updated on April 2, 2015

Stickman Rush: Which Device?

Because you'll be doing a lot of swiping and with cars taking up a decent amount of screen real estate, it makes a huge difference what size screen you'll be playing Stickman Rush on. If you have a choice, go big with the screen and don't look back.

After playing on a couple different devices, I did not see a difference in the performance, so that tells you that the game is not graphics intensive.

Please note that this guide is for the IOS title Stickman Rush developed by Ketchapp, and not the game of the same title you will find on the Google Play Store.

Stickman Rush on Mobile Devices

In Stickman Rush, you find yourself switching lanes by swiping up and down, or hopping over obstacles so that you can get closer to an end destination that is miles and miles away (which you will never reach). Thankfully it's only a game and the simple premise lets you focus on the game play of getting as far as you can every time you pick up and turn on the game.

If you want to give yourself some extra motivation to do well, then you could start with your own story line, something like:

One April morning you wake to find that your gerbil has twisted her ankle, and in a panic, you must rush to the vet in time or else the twisted ankle will heal on its own!

Actually, nevermind, forget the story, just enjoy the game.

Stickman Rush Gameplay Review

Game Tip 1 for Stickman Rush

Stickman Rush Game Tip 1: Less is more when it comes to moves.

My first few times playing through the level were short-lived to say the least. To be fair, I'm the kind of player that tries all ideas as they come to me, so I swiped like a madman hoping that the increased score would make up for the shortened span of the level.

That was not the case.

The truth is that there ends up being so many cars and other debris to keep you from just swiping your way through with ease, that less becomes more. The more efficient you are with your moves, the better your chances for survival.

Game Tip 2 for Stickman Rush

Stickman Rush Game Tip 2: Stop trying to hop over cars

I believed that if I timed it perfectly I would be able to hop over cars and make the game a single plane horizontal endless runner. Yeah, that doesn't work either. Learn from your mistake the first time and stop trying to jump over cars. Jumping is only for smaller debris.

If you see a car, for the love of goodness, just switch your lane.

Game Tip 3 for Stickman Rush

Stickman Rush Game Tip 3: Pick the lane where you can jump

You're constantly faced with the question of what lane to take, and how to best decide the lane for your survival. The first rule for picking which lane is to find the lane where you can jump over debris.

When you see debris in a new lane, it's probably an indication that the other lanes are going to have cars which you can't simply jump over. So go straight towards the debris every time because that will be the easiest path. Most times, at least.

Game Tip 4 for Stickman Rush

Stickman Rush Game Tip 4: Practice your double swipe

If I can add one note to the above section and choosing which device to play on, I would say that you definitely want to pick the device with the best, and most sensitive, touchscreen because it's going to be a double-swipe-fest. Since you know that going in, practice that trusty double swipe because that's the only way you'll be able to deal with two lanes with closely coupled cars.

Stickman Rush Tips Summary

So, to summarize, here's what you need to know:

  1. Less is more when it comes to moves
  2. Stop trying to hop over cars
  3. Pick the lane where you can jump
  4. Practice your double swipe
  5. Coins will come even if you're not good

Good luck!

Game Tip 5 for Stickman Rush

Stickman Rush Game Tip 5: Coins will come even if you're not good

The other part of the game which I haven't touched on until this point is the whole coins system and upgrading to new vehicles for your stickman. Since the level runs are basically the same every time, upgrading your ride is maybe the most exciting thing that will happen in the game.

And the best news is that because you're rewarded for social engagement, you won't have to worry about the coins much. Connect your Facebook and Twitter, share liberally, and play when you have time -- then you'll have no trouble having coins for upgrades.
