Stump Riddles Has Arrived

Stump Riddles is a new mobile app that is available for all iOS devices. Unlike other riddle-trivia apps, this game brings several twists to the genre, that make it stand above the pack.

The first thing that you will immediately notice is that the user interface and graphics are fun, interesting and just a cut above their competitors.

The second thing I immediately notice is that they mix and match words, letters and graphical icons to convey the puzzle. This is a step away from the traditional format of a straight reading of the riddle, followed by spelling out the secret word. Wit and forethought went into the concept for this game, as you wrap your head around each puzzle. It seems as though another layer or dimension has been added to this game because of these features, which increased my enjoyment of the game.

One thing to point out about these apps is that some of them have a coin system and some are very minimalistic and straightforward with no monetary incentive, other than to advance to the next level.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the coin system. I understand the reasoning behind using it because in-app purchases are what pay for the creation of apps. Advertising revenue off of the freemium model isn't what most people think.

For many independent mobile app developers, gaining traction on digital downloads of their apps is tricky and costly. One in-app purchase makes a big difference, not only in their pocketbook, but also with the algorithm that ranks the apps.

Because I don't play the games for a long period of time, I feel no need to buy coins or even care about receiving coins, once I correctly guess the answer. Luckily for me, there are numerous cheat sites available for any popular game in the market.

I've said many times before that I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, when it comes to brain teasers, puzzles and trivia. Stump Riddles Answers is my "go to" website for every time I get into a bind on this game. My goals are always to test the app, run through the levels, see what innovations or quirks that the developers have thrown into the game and give the boosts a solid run. Stump Riddles Answers helps me do that, when my own brain power is failing me.

The boosts that are offered in Stump Riddles can be purchased in the store for coins that you earn with each correct answer. Reveal A Letter will give you a clue to the secret word for 60 coins. Remove Letters will trash all unnecessary letters from the pool for 90 coins. Skip This Stage is a bit deceptive because there is no coin designation for it. When you tap on this boost, it takes you to the iTunes store to purchase the boost for $0.99.

Some players enjoy in app purchases, other players will play a game until they get stumped, then quit. Yet, other players like me, will visit the helpful sites online and keep playing. Either way, hours of fun await those that actually have the time.

One thing that is prevalent during the holiday travel season are long layovers in airports or bus terminals. I'm not a big fan of reading books, have the attention span of a fly and enjoy completing things quickly.

Free mobile apps are the perfect addition to my time, stuck waiting for the next leg of my trip to begin.

All you need is a smartphone, tablet or kindle device to find thousands of ways to pass the time. Stump Riddles was a fun game for me, while stuck at the Salt Lake City terminal, waiting for the snow to clear up.

The holidays are a stressful time and playing the occasional free app helps me be a little less serious and a bit more spontaneous. Going with the flow and being flexible are two crucial things we all need to get us through the season without going berserk on someone.

If a Free mobile app will keep you, your spouse, children, friends or family calm, even for an additional 30 minutes, is it not worth downloading to your phone and giving it a shot? Did I mention that 95% of these apps are FREE?
