There have been many tries to create a succesfull Superman game, but until today, it didn't work! Superman can even say he stars in one of the worst games ever created!

  • "Superman", 1979, for the "Atari 2600". One of the earliest console games to feature a pause option.
  • "Superman: The Game", 1985 for the "Commodore 64" and the "Atari 400/800". You can also play as Darkseid in this game.
  • "Superman", 1988, for NES.
  • "Superman", 1988, arcade game.
  • "Superman: The Man of Steel", 1989, for "Commodore 64", "ZX Spectrum", "Amiga" and "Atari ST". Game with 3D flying, vertical scrolling and side scrolling. Lex Luthor and Darkseid are the villains.
  • "Superman", 1992, for "Sega Genesis". Brainiac is the villain in the game.
  • "Superman: The Man of Steel", 1993 for the "Sega Master System".
  • "The Death and Return of Superman", 1994, for SNES and "Mega Drive/Genesis". Based on the "Death of Superman" storyline.
  • "Superman", 1997, for the "Game Boy".
  • "Superman", 1999, for "Nintendo 64" . Also known as "Superman 64", it's a 3D game and some call it the "worst game ever made".
  • "Superman: Shadow of Apokolips", 2002, for "Playstation 2" and "Nintendo GameCube".
  • "Superman: The Man of Steel", 2002, for "Xbox".
  • "Superman: Countdown to Apokolips", 2003, for the "Game Boy Advance". Villains include: Livewire, Darkseid and Bruno Mannheim.
  • "Superman Returns", 2006, for the "Nintendo DS", "Playstation 2", "Xbox 360", "Xbox" and "Playstation Portable". A different game with the same name was released for the "Game Boy Advance".

There have also been a number a games that feature Superman in them, a few of them were quite succesfull, like the "Mortal Kombat versus DC Universe" game, the "DCU online" game and the "Lego Batman" game.
