The Letter X is Another High-Point Words Scrabble Game Tile
Why ‘other’? Because I have dealt with the 10-point Q in two previous hubs. The other high point tiles are J, X, and Z. These three are usually easier to play, and if you land them on bonus squares you are likely to earn large scores, up to 80 scrabble game points in one play.
Of the three I find the 8-point X the easiest to play, and I usually look to place the X on a triple letter score parallel play with a letter already on the board. My favourite is XI but it so happens that the X takes all the vowels hence AX, EX, XI, OX, and XU. Wow!
You would no doubt see that EX- is also a common prefix of the English language; as in EXCHANGE and EXHALE. Words like these will come to mind readily. What you need to learn are the three and four letter word with X.
