Twilight Barbie Dolls - Bella and Edward Dolls

Updated on April 20, 2011

Twilight Dolls

Twilight is the new biggest book and movies series. The story of a teenage romance between Bella Swan, a human, and Edward Cullen, a vampire, is a modern Romeo and Juliet story with a little myth thrown in. No one wants the pair to be together, yet many are being accepting to the idea. You won't understand the popularity until you sit down and watch the first movie or read the first book.

Barbie and Ken will have to move over because Bella and Edward are in town, and you just don't know what will happen with this teenage couple.

If you area big Twilight fan, like so many are, you may be interested in owning the Twilight Bella and Edward dolls. Even if you're too old to play with dolls, these just may be collectors pieces if you've already started your Twilight collection of themed games, figures, jewelry, clothing, accessories, bags, books, movies, etc.

As of now, these are the only two Twilight dolls available, but in time, Mattel should release the other Twilight characters.

If you haven't heard of the Twilight movie and book series, but someone is asking you for the Bella and/or Edward doll(s), you'll quickly find that this teenage romance is very popular. Stephanie Meyer wrote the book series about Bella, and Edward, which has become a #1 New York Times best seller, and since the release of the first Twilight movie, they have only increased in popularity.

Twilight Bella and Edward

The Twilight Bella doll is based after Bella Swan. She comes with a purple-gray jacket, jeans, and auburn hair. There are other versions of the Bella doll that you can purchase, but the official Mattel Twilight Bella doll is this one.

The Twilight Edward doll is the first vampire doll that Mattel has ever made, so this is something you'll definitely want in your doll collection or Twilight collection. The Edward doll features spiky hair with a chiseled jaw and pale skin. He wears snakeskin jeans, boots, a blue shirt, and a warm gray coat.

You will be very surprised at the similarities between the movie characters and the Mattel dolls. They really did a good job capturing the features.

You can purchase the dolls individually for about $24.95. You can also purchase them as a pair for about $35.

Other Twilight Dolls

If you're wanting to expand the collection of Twilight memorabilia, or you're just looking for other versions of the Bella and Edward dolls, there are others that you may want to consider. These are those listed below. You'll find that they still stick with a close resemblance to the characters as they are in the movies.

Depending on the brand and model, these other dolls vary in price. The larger dolls are much more expensive than the smaller 7 inch dolls, but they are still great additions to any Twilight or doll collection.

It's not often brands create vampire dolls.
