Will Diablo 3 features be any good or will it be an epic disappointment upon release?

Updated on March 25, 2012

Diablo 3 Prediction

This game is looking pretty good actually. I'm excited. If you are looking for the same fun factor as Diablo 2 and Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction, judging from the screenshots and gameplay videos, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Blizzard Entertainment has always put out games that have exceeded the public expectation. Diablo 3 has had a lot of effort put into it and a lot of thought has been put into not only how to make it comparable to Diablo 2 LOD, but how to make it better. The game has a new 3D game engine to make the world and environment look that much better. Also, the game physics aspect has had a major revamp to give you the power to alter the environment to benefit you and your party. It should prove to be a good time.

There will be new classes and also gender has been added to the character selection process. Some of the classes are the all favorite Barbarian, Witch Doctor, Monk, Wizard, and Demon Hunter. From the videos that I have seen, they all look enjoyable to play. Also, they all have their own personal skills that give them an edge over a certain situation.

I think this game will be outstanding. I give it a preview rating of a 9/10. I am knocking off a point due to not having an estimate release date and slower than average character information released. Other than that, it looks amazing. Blizzard knows how to really put a good game out there.

Will Diablo 3 run on the new Battle.net?

The developers have stated that it will have a new system. The new Battle.net will be used. As to exactly what new features this will entail, I have no idea. No information has been released on this. As with Starcraft II, I believe that Diablo 3 will have a whole ocean of new features that can and will bring a new fun factor to the table. PVP is set for a huge revamp and the new Battle.net could have new PVP features. This could be interesting.

When will Diablo 3 be released?

There have been many rumors going around on the internet about Diablo 3's release date. I will in no way try to make you believe that I have an exact date that it will be released. I will however state my theory based on numerous legit sources on the web and other places. Diablo 3 should be released no later than Q1 of 2012. This is a very informed theory that I 100% trust in. Chances are very good that it will be released before Christmas of 2011. They are pushing hard and the game is in some of the final stages. The end stretch is near.

Will there be a beta for Diablo 3?

Yep. There will be a beta for Diablo 3. I would like to state that Starcraft 2 and all of the World of Warcraft games had betas and Diablo 3 is no different. If you would like to participate in the beta of Diablo 3 I suggest that you log into your Battle.net account and make sure your beta settings are up to date and checked off. The beta should happen sometime in Q3 of 2011. Watch for it.

Will Diablo 3 have expansions?

Probably. They have not said anything about this. However, if you look at past trends with Blizzard games, they have all had expansions. I would not be surprised, and actually expect an expansion pack. This makes for good sales and extended gameplay. What will the expansion be? Hard to say right now. The game isn't out yet!
