Yogi Bear Games

Updated on February 6, 2011

Video Games with Yogi Bear

Yogi Bear and his little friend Boo-Boo have always been fun characters. I always enjoyed watching him as a child. Jellystone park has always reminded me of the fun I had in Yellowstone. I am glad they are bringing him back in a movie so that future generations of children will have fond memories of Yogi.

There are several games that help your child take fun in the antics of Yogi and his friend Boo-Boo. Here are the current games available. The older games are in limited supply and often overpriced. Luckily the best one is in production now.

  • The Adventures of Yogi Bear - This game is for older platforms, including the Sega Genesis and the SNES. Your mission is to prevent Jellystone from being turned into a chemical plant. It is a scrolling game that involves no shooting, mainly hop on top of pic-a-nic baskets and wandering enemies (skunks and weasels). A few other areas require you to surf or control a mine cart as you go careening through an area.
  • Yogi Bear - This game is for the hand held color game boy. The evil Jake has stolen all the money from Jellystone. Yogi must recover all the money from 12 different areas, then defeat Jake to save Jellystone from being shut down.
  • Yogi Bears Great Balloon Blast - Also for the hand held color game boy. Select Yogi Bear, Boo-Boo Bear, or Cindy Bear to catch falling balloons to get pic-a-nic baskets. This is basically a Tetris game, but it is implemented quite well and can be quite addictive.
  • Yogi Bear - Released Dec 7, 2010 for the Nintendo DS and the Wii. This is the best Yogi game so far. Play Yogi where you slide, belly crawl, run and perform other antics to get into position to take important pictures of endangered animals. Yogi will get to fly a cool ultralight in this game. It is a fun scrolling game with no shooting and beautiful background graphics. This game is fun for both children and adults.

If you order more than $25 worth of merchandise from Amazon through any of these links, then you will get free shipping, not to mention all the hassle and gas you will save. You will also not be charged sales tax in most states.

The Amazon links say Yogi Bear:The Movie, but they will actually take you to the game. The first link is for the Nintendo DS, the second link is for the Wii.
