American Girl Collector's Doll - Mia
Past American Girl Doll of the Year Mia with Paperback Book
There's a new girl in the spotlight and on the hearts of little girls. Her name is Mia, and she is one of the favorite and hard to find American Girl Dolls of the Year collection.
Something that girls can relate to is pressure and competition, whether it is between another girl or even brothers. This year's chosen girl is no exception when it comes to her share of frustrating moments.
Mia is feeling a bit pulled in different directions lately. She loves skating that's for sure, but no longer does she want to remain in the shadow of her older brothers when it comes to ice hockey. Instead Mia is taking a risk and stepping out into a field she doesn't know in the form of figure skating. Certainly she can skate, but figure skating is entirely different than hitting a hockey puck on the ice or even being a ballerina.
With the encouragement of a coach, Mia stretches herself into learning the skills she needs to pursue a new career as a champion skater.

A Special Kind of Doll
Why American Girl Dolls?
Talk to almost any little girl and you will find they have several things in common. Who doesn't love having a mini "self" to dress like and share common interests? Every American Girl doll comes with a realistic story that a child can relate to and live an adventure with at home and play.
Finding the perfect doll that reflects who they are is vital in matching a doll with a little girl. When a little girl has their own American Girl doll, she can dress like her and watch how the character grows and progresses over time. The relationship is more than owning a toy, but the pairing of friends.
