Be weird! Wood art collection - D.W.Graham
Wood Art purchased at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, in late 1990s
This is my response to the Giant Squid challenge to "Be Weird!" - to share a unusual hobby or some such - and this is as weird as I could manage to be! I'm also incorporating the new "Wood" theme - since this is 'wood art!' Is that weird, or what? Come along and see my collection.
We start with the covered wagon and accessories... all created by D.W. Graham out of Oklahoma in the late 1990s and sold at Silver Dollar City. I tried Googling D. W. Graham, Oklahoma, and came up with no information. If you know him, or know of him, please leave a message in the comments - after you click the Squid-like, of course. These are all my own photos, right on my kitchen table! ;-)
Windmill wood art
This barn and windmill piece was made in 1997. Do you have any pieces made by D.W. Graham? Were they bought at Silver Dollar City, as well, or elsewhere?
Livery and Blacksmith shop wood art
Graham carved our "B & N Smith" name in the front of the building. We added the ceramic man... he seemed to fit right in... ;-)
Ready to go for a ride on the stagecoach?
Wagon and Barrel wood art
This was a simpler piece, made in 1998, I believe. It has a cute wheelbarrow on the side, as well.
Wood Art Debate
Do you love Wood Art?
Outhouse and Cannon wood art
A 'one-holer' outhouse - and a cannon... need I say more??? ;-)
This one is dated 1999.
