Best Xbox 360 Rts Games Ever

Updated on August 29, 2017

List of the top RTS games for xbox 360.

RTS games for Xbox 360 may be few, but it doesn't mean it's not out there. There's many great ones out there that you might not know of. These are the best ones I've played and recommend you all to try for yourselves.

In case you don't know, RTS means Real Time Strategy, which is usually strategy games that go on in real time. It is a great genre for any console, but it's mainly known for PC's. Which is why you must all try these for Xbox 360 to show that great ones can be on a console as well.

Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars

Command & Conquer is usually known as a great RTS PC series. It is very good for sure, but it's just as fun and playable on the Xbox 360. Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars for the Xbox 360 is the best one to date for any console. It has very smooth gameplay, fast action, and great strategy involvement. It has a very good campaign that teaches you and challenges you to your extreme. The campaign has many different missions that require you to do different things and it keeps you on your toes. With the addition of multiplayer, this makes it one of the best RTS games ever for the Xbox 360.

Halo Wars

Halo Wars is a great game for fans of the series. You can control both different sides in the war, but only the Humans in the campaign mode. It's really fun to control all the different kind of units that you played with in the FPS series. You can even bring in a friend in the campaign and play with each other cooperately for a good experience. This game is really simple, yet very fun. The storyline is pretty good too. It has a really satisfying ending that you'll be happy with. Even if you don't like RTS games that much, i'd still give this game a rent, or even a buy if you like it a lot.

The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-earth II

The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-earth II is one of the best RTS games ever i feel. It has such good gameplay, smooth controls, epic action and everything a console RTS should have. The campaign is awesome, you can control the evil side, or you can control the good side. Both are fun and requires good strategy. It's like other RTS where you control a base for resources etc, and build an army to defeat the opponent. The multiplayer is really good. It has a free for all fight for survival and many other great modes.

Battlestations: Pacific

Battlestations: Pacific is really fun. It's based in historic time where it's Japanese vs Americans. You can control units and advance them where you want, control an airplane yourself and cause some havoc, or even control some war boats. In addition to all this, the AI is really good and brings more excitement to the game. When your finished beating the campaigns, the multiplayer is just as good. It's really fun and challenging to do - especially with your friends. Which makes this a one-of-a-kind experience that you can't find anywhere else.

R.U.S.E.

R.U.S.E. is very original fun. Recon, flanks, ambushes all add an extra strategic point to this game. Controlling the units is very simple and easy. You can zoom out to control a huge group of units, or zoom in and control a single one. The multiplayer is the best part, as you try to control the map and defeat your friends (or a random person.) Online matches support up to 4 player's which is really challenging and fun. Just stay away from the campaign. Not that fun.

@anonymous: I couldn't agree with you more there buddy, I really wish they would actually come out with another Age of Empires all together. To me, it was the best real time strategy game. Not only did you have to control your army, but also your population in order to keep an eye on your resources. If only they would add some sort of governmental system then I think it would be complete lol

I am totally addicted to Halo Wars. You are correct in saying that it is quite simple but in my mind it has the same attributes as chess - it takes moments to learn but a lifetime to master. It is actually my favourite game since chess. I would advise anyone and everyone to buy this game. Good lens btw.

Lord of the rings is indeed a very fun game. After you finish the campaign you would already be use to the controls and gameplay, they probably made the best pc to console RTS control scheme ever. Had shortcuts and everything, summoning a dragon outta nowhere is awesome, ive played and been interested in it ever since it released and I would still be playing it because open + rts is the best but they cancelled the server do there's no point in buying it because that was the best part now I just wish Starcraft either part 1 or 2 come to Xbox or ps3 and I would be forever happy owning a console version and pc
