Candy Crush Level 97 - Bombs are Your Buddies

Updated on September 23, 2014

Candy Crush Level 97

Alright, score 100,000 points. Piece of cake, right? But wait, 25 moves? How is that even possible? Well, it is difficult, but certainly very doable. Level 97 can be extremely frustrating. But don’t throw in the towel just yet; it can take you several attempts before you finish this level, so just hang in there a little longer. Actually, this is one of those levels where there is no real strategy. You just have to gut it out.

So are you ready to face that board again? OK, good. Now here are some tips that will help you clear Candy Crush Level 97.

How to Beat Level 97 on Candy Crush

  • Your objective in Level 97 is to score at least 100,000 points in 25 moves or fewer. If you do the math, that equates to 4,000 points per move. That sounds impossible, but you’ll soon see that it isn’t as difficult as it seems.
  • You always get 2 bombs in the same positions at the beginning of the level. After 8 moves, the bomb will explode and end your game just like that. So make sure that you keep those bombs at bay.
  • While the bombs can be very distracting, make sure that you do not focus on them solely. Do not fear those bombs. Many people make the mistake of trying to get rid of the bomb as soon as possible. Little do they know that these bombs can be the key to beating Level 97.
  • Destroying a bomb gives you 3,000 points. What’s the importance of that? It means the more bombs there are on the board, the more points you get when you destroy them all.
  • If you use special candy combinations to eliminate the bombs, you even get more points. Trust me, setting bombs off has never been more fun than in Level 97.
  • Make as many special candies as you can. You will never win this level if you just keep on making regular matches.
  • There are two combinations that are particularly helpful here: Striped Candy + Wrapped Candy and Color Bomb + Color Bomb. These two combinations will clear the entire board! Activate two or three of these combos and you are pretty much set to clear the level.
  • Hearing that familiar Sugar Crush is going to be much more exciting that it usually is. If you have leftover special candies, Sugar Crush will activate them and that means more points for you! This may even give you a boost to reach 3 stars.
