Dark Souls Defeating Bed of Chaos

In dark souls, defeating the bed of chaos is necessary to obtain one of the four lord souls needed to fill the lordvessel in the lordvessel quest. The Bed of Chaos is a creation of chaos located deep within Lost Izalith. This fight to defeat the bed of chaos is actually one of the easier battles in the game if the hero times his moves properly. This will guide the hero with the necessary strategy to defeat the bed of chaos.

Dark Souls Destroying the Left and Right Orbs of the Bed of Chaos

In dark souls, the bed of chaos has two roots located within the left and right orbs of its main body. The hero must destroy one of the orbs first, and then the other to expose the route to the heart of the bed of chaos. The hero can choose which orb to destroy first - either the right or left. It does not matter which orb the hero destroys first. The first orb of the bed of chaos is the easiest to destroy. Simply dodge the arm branches of the bed of chaos and then dodge and roll to the first orb. Use a long weapon to destroy the orb.

Once the first orb has been destroyed, it is harder to destroy the second orb. This is because destroying the first orb releases one of the fire arms of the bed of chaos, and it can use this to randomly strike at the hero all around the chamber. At the same time, the ground starts to fall away from the mighty swings and upheavals of the bed of chaos. So the hero has to navigate through narrow stripes of ground to reach the second orb. But it is possible to do so by careful dodging and rolling and occasionally hiding behind a tree trunk or two in the chamber of the bed of chaos. Now destroy the second orb, and the bed of chaos will be enraged indeed. It recruits another firearm, and tears the ground apart in front of it, leaving a chasm behind. It's time to finally defeat the bed of chaos by destroying the heart of the bed of chaos.

Dark Souls Tactics to Defeat the Heart of the Bed of Chaos

In dark souls, the heart of the bed of chaos lies just behind the chasm that has appeared in front of the bed of chaos. The key to navigating this chasm to the heart of the bed of chaos is to time the strikes of the bed of chao's fire arms and the branching swipes of the branches perfectly so that the hero can either dodge all these attacks, or get swiped by the branching roots so that he is near the center of the chamber in front of the chasm. Now jump down into the chasm and land expertly onto a root. Proceed up the root (it may be necessary to roll and dodge a second time here), and smash through more branches to almost reach the heart of the bed of chaos.

Now this is the real danger before reaching the heart of the bed of chaos. The bed of chaos can unleash a nightmarish firestorm on the hero, burning the hero to cinders before he can reach the heart. So heal up frequently and hope that the firestorm will not take out all of the hero's health points. Heal up again and find the heart of the bed of chaos. Use a weapon to smash the heart to bits, and the bed of chaos will be destroyed!
