Dragon Toys and Figures for Kids & Collectors

Updated on June 26, 2013

Dragon toys for you or your kids!

If you are collecting dragon figures or if you are looking for a dragon toys for your kid you are at the right place! Check out a great selection of dragon toys from many different manufacturers that I like.

Dragons have always fascinated me and I do believe they keep the kid in me strong. I recently started collecting them as some of the figures available are absolutely stunning and look gorgeous (and fierce) on my shelves. This is slowly becoming a passion of mine and I hope my collection will grow.

I decided to feature some of the best looking dragon figurines from manufacturers which I find to be the best - either by their creativity or quality of products. Some of them are "display only" but some - such as Schleich dragons are durable enough to be entrusted with kids.

Enjoy the read!

Images used on this site are either taken by me or are product images from Amazon.

Papo Dragons

Great details and inexpensive

This particular company is based in France. Their figures are hand painted and are safe for kids aged 3+ but there are some dragons that have parts (such as flame of the two headed dragon) that could break (my personal opinion).

Still their dragons are amazing, I especially love their poses, they feel so dynamic and in motion.

The detail on this two headed dragon is stunning however I do have an objection with its fire - it feels like it would break off easily (I didn't try to much but it really feels it could happen) display only if you ask me.

The pose of this one is just stunning. You are just waiting for it to jump on its prey.

The same goes for this one as for the gold one.

Schleich Dragons

My nr. 1 figurine manufacturer

Schleich is a German based company and when it comes to dragon figurines it is one my favourites. The detail in their dragon figures (and other figurines) is stunning. Their toys are safe for kids aged 3+ and I would have to agree - they are extremely well made and there is no chance that they would break apart, or that any part would be easily torn, no small pieces and they are really durable.

Their Bayala series is of special interest for any dragon lover, it is a fantasy series full of mystical creatures such as unicorns, elves, fairies and dragons naturally.I have quite a few figurines from this series, not only dragons and as they are still releasing new figures in this series I am sure I will be getting more (they recently released a limited edition of the two dragons).

Not to mention all of their figurines are hand painted!

Schleich dragon toys - My favourite Schleich dragons

I absolutely love Antylar. It's one of my favourite dragons. He has a very masculine body with lots of details both in coloring and sculpturing.

At first I wasn't too keen on Faraun as I though it looked a bit funny but this dragon has it's way to crawl under your skin.

Baby Nugur is the most adorable dragon I have ever seen. You will love his baby feet and his amethyst beed (in which he fits perfectly)

Schleich Auruun

I am not exactly a fan of Chinese dragons but this one will have a place in my collection too. It's Schleich after all.

Schleich Kishay Figure

Loved baby Nugur? This is the young adult version of that said dragon. I wonder if they will be making the full adult one in the future.

Not their best creation in my opinion but it does look great next to knights.

Safari Limited Dragons

Another great manufacturer! Their dragons are also hand painted and safe for children aged 3 and up. I love the details on them! Some of their dragons look really fierce (one more reason that I love them) while some have a more goofy expression!

They take the advantage over Schleich in the number of dragon toys available.

This and Ice dragon are my two favourite dragons.

Safari Ltd Ice Dragon
Safari Ltd Ice Dragon

One of the best Ice dragon figurines currently on the market in my opinion.

Safari Ltd Sea Dragon
Safari Ltd Sea Dragon

I loved how they managed to capture the "ocean waves" in this dragon - notice how his body is curved.

McFarlanes Dragon Statues

These are appropriate for children aged 10+ which also reflects on detail these have!

These are a true collectors items and they can hardly be called a toy! Gorgeous dragons and McFarlanes offers so many that you can easily find the one that suits your taste!.

If you are a collector rather than a parent searching for a toy these are the ones you should consider.

Thanks for the visit! Share your thoughts on dragons!

Great selection! There use to be an artist in the village that was famous for making sculptures and statues of baby dragons hatching out of their eggs (they were so cute).
