Dungeon Siege 3 Defeating Drakomir

The dungeon siege 3 boss Drakomir has to be the classic dungeon crawler boss - he's nasty, big, wields a nasty big sword, has lots of finishing moves and is desperately hard to defeat at Hardcore level. In dungeon siege 3, defeating Drakomir is important because it will complete the Heroes Crypt Quest, one of the best quests in the dungeon siege 3 game. By the way, Drakomir's voice will haunt and taunt the hero as he or she moves into the Hall of the Heroes to defeat Drakomir, another classic dungeon crawler feature.

Dungeon Siege 3 Tactics for Defeating Drakomir

In dungeon siege 3, tactics for defeating Drakomir are simple. Use the tank Lucas Montbarren and equip him with good hitting and visually beautiful weapons. These weapons and armor may be collected from the Heroes Crypt before engaging Drakomir, so make the best use of them. Drakomir has three stages of hit points. Stage 1 involves just the party vs Drakomir. Drakomir will try to dash attack the player's character, and then use a swinging sword move on the character. Avoid this at all costs, using dodge and moving in strategic fashion around the chamber. This attack can cost about 300+ plus points of hit point damage. Hit Drakomir with all you got, including Fire Jackal and Pillar of Fire, if this is already available to Anjali.

Once Drakomir loses his first stage of hit points, he disappears for a while, and summons some minion skeletons to harass the party. This is actually a respite for the party. Destroy the minions and get some much needed healing and focus orbs. Then Drakomir reappears and stage 2 begins. Surprisingly stage 2 is pretty much the same as stage 1. Use the same tactics until Drakomir's stage 2 hit points goes down.

Stage 3 is the difficult stage, being the Drakomir and his minions attacking the party at the same time. Also, the party's combined hit points will have dropped to very low levels by this time. One may need to run around the chamber a few times, and dodge several attacks before placing some well places sucker punches into Drakomir. Finally Drakomir will be defeated, and it is time to collect the rewards.

Dungeon Siege 3 Rewards for Defeating Drakomir

The obvious reward for defeating Drakomir is the big nasty sword that he carries, and is now the possession of Lucas Montbarren. This sword is Foecleaver. Aptly named, it does what it says - cleave foes easily. After defeating Drakomir, look around the remainder of the heroes crypt to obtain the broken sword of Lord Bolinger and present it to the relic hunter outside to obtain some cash. Defeating Drakomir also opens up the Heroes' Crypt to tourists and make Raven's Rill a striving tourist hotspot again. The mayor of Raven's Rill will be pleased indeed.
