Educational Toys that Tops Them All

Updated on April 13, 2015

Start with Educational Toys

Give your child a head start with educational toys. Many of these are designed to not only to be educational, but fun as well.

Remembering back when my own daughter was a baby and toddler, I wanted to give her toys that would help her expand her mind and grow mentally as well as toys that help physically with balance, eye and hand coordination and more. The first three years of a child's life is the most crucial time. Their brain is expanding and taking more information in these early years. Their coordination skills are developing.

With their short attention spans educational toys not only need to be educational but fun as well to keep a child's attention.

Pat the Bunny Book
Pat the Bunny Book

Pat the Bunny Book

Education for Baby to Toddler

Pat the Bunny was the first book that we read to our daughter as a baby. It was originally published in 1940 and is just as popular now. This is a touch and feel book that you share with your child. Brittany would laugh every time we would say; "Now you pat the bunny." She loved to feel the soft fur. Then we would get to the peek-a-boo mirror and laugh. We would finish the book and she would insist on going through it again and again.

What to look for in shopping for educational toys?

Here are three most important things to look for when buying an educational learning toy.

Whew, it's good to know the grands are in style. Well at least the style is coming around again. Some things never change. My niece and nephew had a shopping cart 40 years ago. My sons loved it, and my nieces kids got it after him.

      Love this hub!

Educational toys that are fun, are so important. And sometimes it's great to play just to have some fun and laugh. Of course, learning is still going on then too.
