There are several garden flowers called fairy wands, but this is my favorite. I have this plant, also called blazing star, in my garden outside a window. I love to sit and watch the bees, butterflies and hummingbirds that are drawn to it all summer long. In the winter, I leave the stalks up and songbirds come to gather the seeds.
