Frog Decor And Wall Decor

Updated on March 16, 2011

Furnishing your home with frog decor is a great way to show your appreciation of the cutest member of the amphibian family. Froggie paraphernalia is highly collectible and there’s a big market for soft furnishings, wall hangings, light fittings and more, for the discerning frog enthusiast.

It's also a popular theme for young children. Frog nursery decor is a great choice because it's fun, fresh and it's gender neutral. The same can be said for the garden, as outdoor frog decor is also big business.

Happily there's plenty of choice on the market. Whether you're wanting frog decoration for your kitchen, bathroom, nursery or garden there's a wonderful array of froggy products just waiting to hop their way into your home.

Frog Decor

Frog Wall Decor

Over the last few years, frog decor has taken off in a big way.

Parents are using a froggie theme to create gender neutral nurseries that are fresh, fun and whimsical.

Equally, more and more collectors are buying into soft furnishing and various other home decorative items, as a means of expressing their partiality for the small, bug eating amphibians.

Happily – or hoppily – manufacturers are aware of the upswing in frog collectibles and soft furnishings and producing a wide range of decorative items that can be use both practically and/or in an ornamental fashion around the home.

You can choose from figurines and ceramics, pictures and wall hangings. Bathroom furniture and related bathroom fittings.

Or maybe you want a few practical items for the home? A frog light pull or stove covers will look great – yet serve a purpose.

You could even light your home up or favorite reading corner or den with a stylish frog lamp. The range of frog decor is pretty extensive and whether you prefer to look at a picture of a frog, or turn your lights on with one, there’s something froggie to suit all tastes.

Frog Home Decor

With frog home decor, you can decorate the inside as well as the outside of your home.

Perhaps a fun way to greet your visitors would be with a frog themed sign? Or perhaps you could place a few froggie sun catchers on the patio or hang them from the porch.

There are some delightful wall clocks, which would look great in the kitchen and if you like birds as well as frogs, a birdhouse in the shape of a frog would look right at home, hanging from a tree.

For a cosy night and some low light ambiance, a frog candle will help set the mood. There’s a lovely selection of candles, and any one would look right at home placed near to a froggie mirror.

There are also some delightful yet whimsical book ends available – keep your books in order with a couple of matching bookends.

Frog Bathroom Decor

Most of the frog bathroom decor revolves around practicality, with a quirky froggie theme.

One particular set that exudes whimsy is the tree frog range - a couple from the collection are displayed to the right.

Totally frogalicious, the range features cute frogs hanging from branches, looking as endearing as is possible for a frog of any description.

Separate pieces or a full range will brighten up any bathroom and create a fun and cheerful ambiance and brighten up any morning.

Which is great for those days when you get out of the wrong side of bed - let's face it, who doesn't get up a little grumpy now and then?!

There are also some rather delightful frog bathroom sets, that will look great placed around a basin.

There are various different toothbrush holder, soap dish and soap dispenser sets and any one will add a lovely froggie touch.

Frog accessories placed in and around your bathroom will definitely create a little humour and fun - turning any bathroom into a very hoppy environment.

Rugs on the floor, a frog shower curtain and matching hooks, a few practical items such as a waste bin and toiletry items.

Add a mirror, maybe some wall art, add an ornament or two and if the bathroom has a fresh color scheme, you'll soon have a totally green room - great for confirmed froggie lovers.

The look is particularly good if the bathroom is for children - it creates a gender neutral area that will work for boys or girls.

Plus children love anything that's bright, fun or just that little bit different which in turns means that they'll probably be easier to persuade into the bathtub each night!

Frog Shower Curtain

To complete your bathroom, how about a frog shower curtain?

Whilst they're fun and frivolous, they're also practical. Further, frog decor never grows old or stale - your bathroom will remain bright and funky for years to come.

They're fabulous for children's bathrooms and of course for those that just love anything remotely froggie themed.

You can go even further if you purchase frog hooks to hang your shower curtain with. Amazon have several different designs, with the tree frog style being the most popular.

Frog bathroom decor truly is green, hoppy and entertaining. Going green has never been so much fun!

Frog Kitchen Decor

Frog kitchen decor possibly contains the broadest selection of froggie items.

In fact - the list is pretty extensive. Among the various odd, ends and useful froggie bits and pieces you can purchase for your kitchen, there are:

  • Ceramics
  • Door hooks
  • Clocks
  • Magnets
  • Mail holders
  • Key hooks
  • Spice racks
  • Canisters
  • Salt and pepper shakers
  • Chalk/message boards
  • And many more.

Decorate your counter tops with a set of frog canisters - you can drink your tea from a frog cup, having made the tea inside a whimsical frog teapot.

Spice up your dinner using frog salt and pepper shakers and watch the time with a froggie wall clock.

There are simply dozens of great frog decor items for the kitchen and with a little imagination, you can turn your kitchen into a wonderfully bright and cheerful working environment.

Ha ha ha drbj - a comic you are (among many other things!). And about the donuts - I jest. Though I don't suppose there's a chance a nice box could be flown over huh? Soon my birthday and all that ;)

Probably because the car would travel by hopping. Ho, ho. Though as I ruminate about it, you can "hop" a plane.

As for the donuts, working on it. Research may take days, even months.

drbj - donuts? Yes/No *delete as appropriate* You know, frogs are everywhere. We're rather aerodynamically shaped you know. I'm just surprised there hasn't been a plane or go-faster car based upon our shape!

oh, oh. Guess I can expect to see oodles more of frog paraphernalia. OK, bring it on.

I'm seated in my frog-shaped chair in front of my frog-shaped desk wearing my frog shades. My computer, tho, is still rectagular. Working on that.

And despite my harangue, love your hubs.

FD incredible listings and it amazes me to see what all sells in Amazon. Rated it hub.

We have a frog statue in our flower bed. It's small but still real neat to look at, plus it adds a bit of distinction to the garden.
