The Cooking Mama series is probably one of the most popular game in the Nintendo DS series in terms of cooking games. It's a combination of Minigames and Skills. The further you go in, the more you unlock for the Skills settings. In the Skills settings, you can take whatever food you've unlocked from the Minigames and mix them together to make a dish of your own. Cake mania focuses more on the cake business and the story. In this game, you are Jill and you need to earn enough money to open up your grandparents bakery. To earn the money, you have to take a customers' order and make sure that you get that order correct. This is a fun game for those who love to bake cakes.

Let's Get Cooking gives you more of a realistic feel in the cooking field. This is more about cooking than it is about a game because it comes with over 300 recipes for you to look at. It goes in depth as too how much you have to use for a certain food, how much calories it will give and can give you the right ingredients as to whatever it is that you are making. Best part is that when you are done, you can send your recipe wireless to another DS friend.

Personal Trainer: Cooking gives you your own personal cooking trainer as he guides you through the interactive world of over 245 recipes that span over 30 countries. This is great for those who are into international cooking.
