Gundam Model Kits: High, Master, and Perfect Grade
Gundam Model Kits for the Geek in Your Family!
If you have a model lover that simply isn't in to cars or ships, then Gundam model kits may be the perfect answer. And when they are finally finished, they can easily be showcased.
The finished models are extremely detailed (especially the perfect grade) and an accomplishment to be proud of. Really, any geek would love one. In fact the Bandai Deathscythe Model pictured here was featured at Comic-Con!
High Grade (aka Real Grade) Gundam Models
These are a step up from the easiest, no-grade models, but still fairly easy to build. Parts in the kits are already colored and molded so that they simply snap together--no glue or paint required! They even include stickers for that little extra detail. And best of all, these kits include joint polycaps which will give your model full action.

MG Gundam Models (Master Grade)
Ah, the master grade...now we are getting into the adult model field. These models aren't for younger kids. In fact the manufacturer's recommended age for this type of kit is generally 15 years and up. More parts equal more fun--at least to some!
With the master grade kits you will get superior accuracy and fantastic posability. These models really rock!

Perfect Grade Gundam Models
For the Die-Hard Model Builders!
If you are ready for a true challenge and the ultimate gundam model kit--then the perfect grade models are for you. These models are still the snap-together type, so you still won't need paint or glue to put them together. But don't think that makes them easy to assemble! There are a LOT of parts to these models. The detail and posability of the finished figures is truly astounding.
Warning: These are not projects for a day or two. Plan on at least a week of model building to complete one.

Differences in Model Grades - Which Grade is Right for You?
There are many different grades of Gundam model kits, from 1/100 no-grade all the way up to the 1/60 perfect grade. To explain all of the differences between the grades would take a massive amount of space and typing, so I'm including two YouTube videos that do a pretty good job of explaining the differences between the models. (Plus the added bonus of visuals!)
Everyone has a different skill level when it comes to building models. Bandai knows that, so they give us lots of choices when it comes to grades of models.
So what grade of model are you ready to build?
Well, I was probably the first one to apply for my geekiness. But my son followed soon after. Then the two of us kind of contaminated my niece into geekhood, too.
How many does your family have?
