HeroScape Board Game

Updated on March 24, 2024

A Great Rainy Day Board Game

HeroScape a Build-it game that allows you to have complete control over how you want the field of battle to look. This Game makes it easy to manage the time length of a game by either making the board smaller for a short game or picking fewer characters/cards. If you want a long game to waste time and be enjoyable then of course either make the board vast even make it with levels or pick a greater amount of characters/cards then what you would normally play with.

Each character card has a point system that you can play by a certain point number like a 1000 point game in which you'll have to choose characters and not go over 1000. On the other hand you can just play by card count.

Also another neat thing is that there are two sides to a card one side in which the character has a ability varying from each character for example the T-Rex known as Grimnak in the Rise of Valkyrie set has the ability to chomp a character his card is below as an example. Or you can play on the side which has no abilities and different stats, this is mainly for starters.

There are also Squad cards that give you 2-4 characters on one card very useful to coordinate attacks Example below. Unique Hero cards usually have the stronger abilities and attack or defense good to have at least one of each type if you can. Example of a Unique hero below.

Continuous updates check back for more info. Ask questions in the comments section and I'll be glad to answer them.

HeroScape Marvel Set

What greater way to enjoy a board game then using your favorite heroes and villains from Marvel.

A Great Set For Marvel Fans.

Set includes Captain America, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Silver Surfer, Abomination, Thanos, Venom, Red Skull, and Doctor Doom. 38 Tiles (Hex), Warehouse Ruin Tile, 2 Yellow Glyphs, 12 Combat Dice, 1 20-Sided Die, 8 Order Markers, 23 Wound Markers, 1 Round Marker, 1 Warehouse Ruin, 1 Breakable Wall Section with Card, 1 Detachable Floor Piece, and Rulebook.

Many Characters and you can find a few of them below.

Captain America

Captain America can actually use his shield like in the comics. He is able to attack three characters around him in line of sight in one attack.

Iron Man

Bonus of flight but best part of Iron Man but more importantly he can attack twice in one turn.

Incredible Hulk

The Monstrous Hulk gets more dangerous with each wound he takes. Each wound marker adds one die to his attack rolls.

Thanos

A far more interesting ability. He can fly but he can also be resurrected after death by rolling the 20 sided die every turn after his death if you land on 19 or higher you can place him anywhere on the map. Hard to get but valuable.

Example of the Board

Here is what the Board pieces look like, the white ones being snow and blue being water. The wall is easily placed, providing cover as you can see in the top left. The red tiles are power ups or death traps which is an option you can throw into a game. The come with different abilities such as additional moves or attack dice depending how lucky you are.

Easy way to make more super hero characters for HeroScape - Use HeroClix

Use any figure you want. If you know the character well enough you'll be able to create your own abilities. Try not to make your characters over-powered though. Make your own cards easily by writing it on a piece of paper cutting it out to size like the actual cards and use a cardboard cut out of the same size to paste it on. Nothing fancy is needed, and now you can have any character you want to play with on this great game.

My favorite character that I created was Superman of course. I didn't make him have all the abilities that he has. But, he was still well balanced and yet strong enough to live up to his name. I might show off all the ones me and my brother's created in an edit down the line but till the hope you let me know what character's you've created and how they worked out for you.
