I dream of Harvest Moon on Wii U

Updated on September 18, 2014

My Dream is to have a new Harvest Moon RPG game for the new Nintendo Wii U console coming out this fall (2012). Still waiting, summer 2014!

The Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility game developed exclusively for the Wii by Nintendo is my favorite all-time game. It was the first Harvest Moon game in the series originally developed for the Wii. It was a farming simulation video game without combat and violence - which is what I love about it. I really look forward to a new version of the game for the new Wii U coming out this fall (2012).

Have you looked at Wii U coming out this fall?

Will it be that much better than Wii has been?

Wii U was unveiled by Nintendo at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2011. Wii is the only gaming system I have used. Wii U is expected to be available in the last couple of months of 2012. The new controller will be called the GamePad. It will has an embedded touchscreen. Prior Wii games will run on the Wii U system.

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has been quoted as saying they want the Wii U to be a different experience from that provided by other game consoles. They want to see an enhanced experience from the combination of TV, game console and Internet connectivity that provides varied experiences from that previously obtained. I look forward to this new experience with a new addition for the Harvest Moon game series. Sadly, it is not among the first group of games being introduced.
