Product Review

My daughter received the Loving Family Minivan as a 2011 Christmas present. I am very impressed with how it looks. It is very stylish with a gray and pink exterior.

It has three row seating: two bucket seats up front, two built-in car seats in the middle row, and two seats in the back row. Realistically, the back row would only hold children well.

The interior is mostly yellow. It has a lot of suggested details like seat belts, car radio, and center console with cup holders. The steering wheel actually turns and there is a "horn" on the center front of the vehicle. It honks and plays three different songs.

The Loving Family minivan comes with a full sack of groceries and a very cute dog.

Overall, I am glad we have this minivan. My daughter and son both enjoy playing with it. It has even taken a load of Strawberry Shortcake dolls to the grocery store, so it is very versatile. My two year old loves to hit the horn, over and over and over. It is only cute the first 10 times :)

My biggest problem with the minivan is that the doors pop off. They are not super easy to get back on either. This is not so much of a problem I want to return it, but I was disappointed. At first I thought it was because my kids are not always gentle, but the doors came off when I was playing with it too.

If you look at my photo, you'll see that 3 out of 4 doors are off the minivan. I didn't remove those for the photo. I just picked it up off the floor and took a picture. I am a bit concerned the doors will get lost. I saw one on the floor of my daughter's room, but I have no idea where the other two are at.

If you are looking for something cute and fun, and are flexible about toys coming apart, then you might like this minivan. If the poor fitting doors would bug you, I would skip it and spend your money on one of the other great Loving Family dollhouse accessories.

Check out prices and availability of the Loving Family Minivan on Amazon.com. I encourage you to check it out, even though I have some problems with it.

Other reviewers mentioned the door problems, but liked it otherwise. One woman even considered it a feature that they popped off, rather than broke off. I can see her point.

Road trips are more fun than ever with this fully-equipped van. It's loaded with charming details and realistic touches. It includes working horn and radio that plays three tunes. And with third row seating, there's plenty of room to seat six people. This is enough for a whole family or friends. ~ from Amazon.com
